Going to miss it when I graduate.
As far as multiple degrees, I'm not sure. I'm going to take a small break between undergraduate and graduate school. I've thought about pursuing a second degree just for fun, maybe something in my interests (social science).

At my school, I know way too many 22-23+ students taking 6 years to get just their first B.S. or B.A. degree. Some are older like 28 or even 30, etc.
I'm thankful I was able to finish mine up in 4 years (still had to take courses over 2 summers) even with changing majors, but I honestly feel so burned out already. But I'll go back if I don't land a decent job in the area I suppose. However, one thing that surprises me ITT is if miscers are getting 2 or more B.S. or B.A. degrees? I thought you should not go for same level degrees? Like if I got a B.S., I should then get a Masters. Afterwards, I should get a PhD. But not like 2 of the same degrees or am I missing something here?

The cream of the crop rise to the top in their industries regardless, lol @ having one not being enough. As long as you have that requisite to get in the door, reputation and performance within your industry are what matter and are what senior management hiring decisions are based on. Otherwise the executive teams of all the major, successful companies would be filled with PhDs and people with four+ degrees, but they're not

Some people hang out at universities for years, 10+ years even, srs. First its a degree, then a masters, then a study paper, then helping out with the university etc. etc. and it goes on. I saw people like this at my uni. These folk simply don't want to work and have become acclimatized to the security of being a university student supported by welfare.

The person with more real world experience will get the job every time because they can prove via reference that they can perform in the real world. A dude who is more qualified on paper has no credibility although it would seem like he has because of his degrees.

a lot of people that I know who stay in college to get one degree after another are mostly doing it cuz they want to work at the college or work abroad but want more on their resume so as to have a better chance to get hired at a high-paying job, instead of working their way through promotions for years.
funny thing is, I know a person who never spent a single day in the workforce, stayed in college for 15 years, got 4 degrees in 4 different fields in music and she isn't getting hired for the jobs she wants cuz she needs experience, and she doesn't want to work at lower paying jobs she's overqualified for cuz "I have 4 degrees, I should have a better standard". but since mommy and daddy are paying for everything and she can leech off of them for a while, she's got no real complaints.

lmao i thought i was in school for too damn long doing undergrad engineering + business minor + grad engineering degree in 6 years. chit gets old and all of your original friends have moved on and are working with good jobs (or dropped out and didnt make it) and now you are the "old" dude amongst all the 19 year olds. IDK how people do it in their late 20s+30s. I get it if you are going back to school later in life but those people are usually serious and trying to get done ASAP because mom and dad aint paying.
