what do people who did not grow up on the original karate kid think about the show? i'm curious to know what their opinions are. as a kid growing up, i idolized the karate kid, and i guess that's why i thought bringing the story back, the way they did, was pure genius on the part of the writers of the show.

im halfway through episode 8 and I think this show might be life changing. It's pretty damn inspirational. I hope the younger generation latches on to this.
