Lol, strong research and call-out thread. I mention my wife/family a fair amount (in context) but it seems I need to up my game if I am going to trigger anyone.

I honestly didn't notice trinniebuu posting like that. Odd it would go completely under my radar as I'm usually the one getting hung up and calling out people for this chit.

Nowadays, the chances of success by rushing into a long term situation (unless both people have psychological issues that make them overly dependent) are slim to none.

It's baffling. Someone once made a post about making their wife lunch and the next 10 comments were about how big of a pussy he must be. Imagine the deep unhappiness in someone being triggered over a successful relationship.
We get it, you're mad about mod negs. If you don't want to get mod negged, don't talk about killing animals by throwing them off tall objects.

I can go on for 10 pages but you get the point. People after 3-6 months (especially in modern society) are still putting on a good front and haven't let their guard down. You can't say you actually know someone, even if you knew that person from a group before. How are you going to spend the rest of your life with someone if you don't know how they would do to protect you in danger? If they can't handle being in a ****ty country with no electricity, etc, if they can't handle being broke after losing their job, if they can't function like a normal person when someone in their family dies, etc.
I just don't get it. It blows my mind when I see people get married or move in after dating someone for next to nothing in terms of time. I've been with my gf for almost a year and a half and we're still learning a lot of things about each other.

Fuuuuuuuuuck that. Sounds like my old roommate, dude would move his gf in within 2 weeks of dating. He was also super emotional. Are you dating my old roommate?

Met my wife in college, dated for a 1.5 years, engaged for 1.5 years, married for 4 years since then. Wouldn't have done it any faster than that to be honest. People's true character comes out when they are stressed (wedding planning) and having to make big life decisions.

Take it to what level? Moving in with someone when you don't know them? You act like that's a positive thing. There's a huge randomness to living with a roommate you don't know and yet you're acting like moving in with a guy/girl you don't really know is taking to some level that's automatically good.
Dude above your post nailed it. For every "lololol worked out for me!" scenario, there's probably 100 that ended in pure turmoil and chaos.
You don't need to know everything about the person, no one said you did. What you need to know is that they are WORTHY of commitment before committing to them. That's where you aren't getting what I'm saying. You are in favor of committing to someone before you know who they really are. I'm saying not to commit to someone until you know who they really are.
Imagine moving in with some guy after 3 months and then someone breaks into your house in the middle of the night and the guy hides behind the couch. Oops, probably should have figured that one out beforehand. This is where the female and male mind differ greatly I guess. It makes absolutely no sense to me to not know CERTAIN things before committing to someone.
