I just watched a mini-documentary on a bodybuilder who was kidnapped for selling u kno what. His GF fuked up and got pulled over with everything in the car. This was pre 2007 when they had a big drug bust across the world.

had nothing in the states worth staying for. Figured why not check it out. Turned out I love it, so I stayed....but I like 3rd world, dirty, "raw" places. until you live outside of the US, I don't think you can know just how nanni state it is. Safety regulations, health regulations, vehicle regulations, etc.....yeah it's more dangerous, but also more free.

Mexico women are a different kind of hawt.........but I dig dark features. I'd say most of them are between 6's or 9's before the age of 30, then the tortilla and beef taco diet with super sweet drinks and cakes start to show but the chicks that go to the gym seem to venture away from the cultural norms and keep healthy and fit. but yeah a 10 in mexico would be considered like a 8 in the states to most people I would say, just my opinion

Glad you like it, just stay informed to what's going on around your area or places you want to go. It could get dangerous in some places and it's good to know when to avoid trouble and stay safe. You should check out San Miguel de Allende in Guanajuato, it's a colonial picturesque place full of expats.

Major con- Drug gangs control the country, the police and military often work for them. Drug gangs like to kidnap Americans, because they think they're all rich, and will get huge ransom payments.

Most of my wife's family lives in Hermosillo and Mexico City and they have never been robbed/mugged/kidnapped/killed etc. They are somewhat well off by Mexico but if you don't go to dodgy areas and sit around and flash wealth you will be fine at least in that area. Hell, my wife grew up in Juarez and never had any incidents but she did move to the states before it got worse in the early 2000's.

The worst that has happened to them is having vehicles stolen.

Hermosillo used to be very safe 15 years ago but the crimes you mentioned have increased significantly as the city has grown and cartel presence has increased. But yeah as long as you have a secure home in a good area and are reasonable everything will be fine there. Good city close to beaches but wouldn't live there, too damn hot for me.

only 8.4 percent of americans left the us last year, of that the vast majority to mexico.
not talking to the most worldly crowd here.
im a proud american who thinks murrica #1 always, but we often talk out of our ass and base our knowledge of other countries off netflix shows.
