I went with the outdoorsman, so same gearing, interior(sans accents/stitching). The Hemi with .392 a lot of ass off the line, it will tractor in 4x4 low as well.


Don't really care for the front end styling on the Rebel but like the 18''s vs my 20's and the Rebel has a beefier... albeit stiffer suspension.

That motor has been around a long time, the quirks are worked out. The tranny is built by germans, so you're good there. Which was the weak link in automatic rams since forever.


Go drive one, that 8 speed is easily the smoothest truck on the road atm. Until you get into the Duramax.

This. I was shopping for trucks in 2015. Was strongly considering a Tacoma or Colorado/Canyon. Test drove the F150, looked at the price and it was game over. I was completely impartial to make as well.

I did test drive a GMC Sierra before that. It was crazy how much better the Ford felt. That was the 1st year of this F150 Gen vs an outdated Sierra, but still.

Drive F150 at work and own one as my personal truck. They are amazingly nice to drive. Honestly feels like you’re driving a car.

Ford may be boring and may not be sexy, but they run well, they are the most innovative BY FAR, and due to the economies of scale and Fords insane production capacity of these, the price is reasonable.

Like driving a car is exactly the way to describe it . I have a crew cab Lariat, as I like a plethora of options .

No offense taken. Welp, good thing I don't work on the pipeline! Mainly driving city and sometimes up in the mountains for camping/hunting. Gets the job done for me. Soon as it starts falling apart, i'll simply trade it in for something else. I never keep my new vehicles for too long anyway.

Me too, every week or so I scour craigslist, fb marketplace, and autotrader for a red Ford Ranger. Preferably 2000-2005 extended cab. Very rare and hard to find one in decent condition and low miles.
