while it was a giant leap for mankind, you can't just omit other facts, like the fact that it was americans that went up there and they put an american flag.

also i don't get why they are attempting to de-americanize and american achievement so they can sell it to non-american viewers. like that's gonna make them love the movie about american achievement.

For people that claim ceo 10k a day you guys have poor business sense
Since when did hollywood give a chit about business sense when shoving chit sandwiches down peoples throats and telling people to smile while they eat it? Ghostbusters, Star Wars and all the rest. You think they would be worried about a countries flag causing them to lose $$?

Im simply responding to the comments saying this was a purely American achievement.

Obviously it was Americans who went up there. Obviously an American flag was planted and that should be in the movie.

But it's lulzy that posters in here think this was purely a US thing. As pointed out, Canadians were instrumental at NASA in the lunda module program.

Moreover, even Neil Armstrong recognized this was a human achievement building on man's desire to visit another planet spaning back hundreds if not thousands of years.

So it's funny to see miscers, who literally contributed nothing, denying that any other countries had any other involvement in this great achievement.

man you are disingenuous as fuk sometimes.

Instrumental to NASA..cool story bro. NASA and US presidential administrations paved the way. So what's the big deal with an American flag on the moon, especially when that's whatactually happened.

I'll be honest with you I don't know how much other countries contributed, so i'm not denying it, but there's no doubt that this was an American lead and financed achievement.

And yes, it is a human achievement accomplished by Americans.

Did you read the part of my post where I said it should be in the movie and even states my comment was directed at the miscers in this thread pretending no other countries were involved.

If you have a bone to pick with anyone it sounds like it's with Neil Armstrong for saying it was a giant leap for mankind.

As a simple example, because the US scientists were unable to build a rocket that could get off the ground they had to get the help of a bunch of Nazi scientists.

Not to dismiss what the Russians did in WW2, but you are vastly underestimating American involvement in that war. Take away physical American involvement altogether and have the Japanese and Germans tag team fuk the Soviets instead of fighting the U.S., goodnight Soviet Union. Have the U.S. fight exclusively in the Pacific Ocean theater of WW2 instead of Hitler being an idiot and declaring war on the U.S. (assuming the U.S. had stayed out of Europe without Hitler's direct provocation), and the Germans would have dragged out the war another 2-3 years, easily costing millions more lives, with a slight chance of a German victory still remaining. Take away American intervention including providing the British and French with extra supplies from the start of the war, and the Germans would have spanked that British/French ass red before bending the Soviets over and giving them a brutal ass reaming.

Doubt it
Russia would have kept throwing peasants forever and wouldn’t have lost because they’d kill everyone before giving up
Same thing in Vietnam
They just didn’t give up and faced their country being bombed heavily for years with insane casualties
But they didn’t give up
With nothing but their lives to give and time to pass they just had to keep fighting to win and did against the us who had a navy, and Air Force advantage
They wrecked the us
Same thing in Afghanistan for hundreds of years with poverty weapons
According to your logic the superior tech of Russia should have led to victory in afghan and us would have won but it doesn’t happen that way

We can agree to disagree blyatt

How so? If you think in anyway Vietnam didn’t win against the USA then you must not know the facts
Same with Russia
Both Japan and Germany could have attacked and they would have had to kill tens of millions in combat to win
Another miscer posted about a Russian woman taking a tank to avenge her husband
Now multiply that times 10 million

If one side invades and fails then yes the invaded country is the winner
