Honestly not really a surprise that a lot of the older miscers make $100k+ per year. I'm 27 and already in that category with a ton of upside still. The top guys in my field make $300k-500k a year.

Despite how much autism there is from the younger crowd/incels on this board, a lot of the older folks are pretty intelligent and career driven.

So no, not surprised. Anything else is pure cope.

edit: screenshotted.. already at $110k gross for 2018 with four months pay outstanding still

I make over 100k per year in a medium cost of living part of the country. I can pay all of my bills with less than half of my take home pay. If you're living in a high cost of living area, then you're doing it wrong.

100k puts you in the 88th percentile in the US for individual income.
27k puts you in the 50th percentile for individual income.
The numbers vary a little from site to site and source to source but are generally right.
Long story short people like the above are retarded. The problem comes down to self reporting your income and people who do make alot wanting it to seem like its no big deal.

If it's not IT it is something random like they are a Nurse clearing 6 figures. Things must work very differently in the US than the UK because these same jobs pay 40k tops here.

Also everyone on the misc has a 2k powerlifting total. Again strange because I have been a member of the 2 biggest heavy works warehouse gyms in my town and it's once in a blue moon do you see anyone benching 4 plates or deadlifting 6 etc.
40k tops? Brah there's IT Network Engineer positions in my area clearing £80k+, Head Nurses can also make crazy bank. It's really not so different on the other side of the pond

While there are probably a lot of people on this board that feel the need to lie, you have to think, TYPICALLY people that are disciplined enough to stay in the gym for more than 6 months are disciplined in other parts of life.

Factor in:

A lot of miscers in high COL/high income markets: NYC, SF, LA, SEA
A lot of miscers 27+ YO
A lot of reasonably intelligent people here

As much as the stereotype that miscers are basement dwelling virgins persists, it is probably just a small % of people that post regularly.

Probably more to do with reporting bias. The only people posting their salaries in these threads will be the ones earning said salary, so it seems like everyone on the misc is on $100k+

Stop comparing yourselves to the Jones' or DeusExTerra and do you. Getting to higher income brackets is a mix of drive, hard work, and luck. The latter you can't control so work on the other two.

100k+ is still a lot of money. I think even in SF or NYC you need a legit job to be breaking that.

Just LOL at the 22 y/o college kids chitting it up how 100k is nothing. riiiight

The first two are what put you in position for the last one. You know the saying - funny how the harder I work, the luckier I seem to get.

And yes, some specialties start at 250K, but most M.Ds start at around 200K nowadays.
