What I dont understand is how that Indian actor from harold and kumar is bishing and moaning about Apu. Even though IN THE FIRST HAROLD AND KUMAR MOVIE there's a scene when some white guys shout 'Thank you come again', to his character. If he felt that strongly about his political views he would not have accepted that scene and made the writers change it.
Such a **** considering he starred in a movie which 'promotes racism'. In fact all 3 Harold and Kumar movies are absolutely loaded with stereotypes, from the Asians who the president assumes cant speak english, to a bunch of black guys in the hood who are assumed to love grape soda. Wtf.

Simpsons was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid but has been garbage for years now...honestly went downhill fast after the first 10 seasons (haven't watched it since)

Apu saved me in primary school (srs). He was the reason I made so many friends and he acted like a conversation starter to many people who never met many Indians in their lives (I'm talking early 90's Western Sydney).

Also he was a good funny character, hard working and the accent was quite spot on for most new Indian migrants in Australia/US whose only prospect of a decent stable income was managing convenient stores, and it still is. The show died for in season 10 anyway....so meh
