That said as an unruly student my junior year at an alternative none of the kids were as unruly and trash as the kid in the vid. No more respecting your elders. Dude needs to get a real ass whooping and the teacher hopefully won't get anything

Feel bad for the teacher and kid. You need a strong leader and hand(not literally lol) to guide the kid in the right direction. Posters ITT saying he needs an asswhoopin don't really know what they're talking about. It comes down to more than just that. He's 15, yes he takes responsibility, but 15 yr olds are not adults with proper sense and reasoning. Proper guidance is what that teen needs.
A lot of people are thugs in their earlier years, but guess what? They change to be better people. Don't get mad at this kid talking about knocking him out, point him in the right direction. Yes teachers can save lives but being a role model in a student's life

Public education in America is an absolute travesty. They need to deregulate it, open more private schools with armed teachers better paid. Stop worrying about how to teach human garbage like this or 80 IQ pondlife and start worrying about getting the best out of kids with an actual future.

When you allow a kid to do whatever with zero accountability then you give them all of the power. They aren't going to listen to you and they aren't going to shut up to hear your words of "guidance". This is exactly why these incidents are increasingly more common and schools just get worse year after year... because the weak pandering people think you can just pat every person on the head and tell them they're a special unicorn.
With kids you don't want to be to lenient to where they walk all over you (like the vid), or too strict where they are mortified and walking on egg shells. You want to be somewhere in the middle.

It is the main reason, however, that people will pay 100k-200k+ for the same house in a different neighborhood.

I think that an overhaul of US public education is definitely due.
I think that for some people it seems to just be free babysitting.
The childcare part does matter for sure when many families are dual income or single parent. I used to really dislike the idea of year round school, but I've given it another think. Having a couple of weeks off 4 times a year would probably reduce the amount of reteaching that has to be done and would also be economically easier on parents vs. having to pay for full time care for 10 weeks straight.
If we moved to year round AND made extracurriculars part of an extended day program then a lot more basic teaching could be covered in a shorter time and I think that basic education could probably be completed with compulsory K through 8th.
After that let kids apply for schools and be admitted based on interest/apptitude/merit. It might not be practical to have different schools in rural areas, but in cities I could definitely see college prep, trades, IT/robotics, etc. Funding could follow the kids.
Kids that don't want to spend any more time in school, or couldn't get in to a school they want would be in a bit of a limbo until legal working age. That would be a problem for parents so I would expect parents to be motivated to push their kids to do their best vs. coast because the school has to take you.

Wish I was in that class so i could cuss that little disrespectful chit out and beat his ass and throw him out of class. People don’t respect teachers and professors at all. In my opinion they should get way higher pay especially if dealing with the worst students and be honored for educating our future. This dude is a loser and knows already he’s not gonna make it in school and is going to follow a criminal path so he’s acting hard and venting to the teacher which is so fuking pathetic and sad. He should respect the teacher and bond with him in a way to get his respect and his help to have him pass. And then they arrest the teacher because of this fuk calling him the n word over and over. Fuk this stupid country with their chitty disrespectful student. This doesn’t happen in other countries and they would arrest the student. Here the dumb students cuss out and fight the teacher who likes I said works an honorable and respectful job and gets disrespected for it.
