I work in a pretty formal industry and I've never ever worn a suit except for client meetings. A simple color t-shirt (white/baby blue) and a nice necktie is all you need.

Some, but not all. And it’s industry specific. You’ll find nowhere in this post where I claimed superiority. I’d say my observation is largely correct. There are the exceptions I noted where people will in fact wear suits a lot, but beyond that the environment has shifted away from it. Many high income people are entrepreneurs who also forgo the suit. You may have clients that are high income and wear suits, but that doesn’t invalidate my observations. As a matter of fact many people ITT have chimed in with supporting accounts. Sorry to disappoint you brah

True. The only people I see wearing suits to work are lawyers or executives... or guys working sales at suit stores.

My last job was 100% casual everyday. My new job is casual mostly but they want us to dress somewhere between business casual when meeting with clients. I actually took a pay cut for this job too.
