I live in an area where a 50-year old freestanding home full of carcinogens costs a million bucks and the marginal tax rate is 49% after 180k, so it doesn’t matter what I earn cause I’m still middle class

lol

Chinese investors have screwed the Canadian housing market. I see a market correction coming soon. Just hold on.

180k. About 3 times the average for my age. Got pretty lucky but also work hard. Also, low cost of living area.

This is the cost of living thing that makes looking at national data kind of silly. My HH income is about 3x the median for my age in that chart. In my market, that's enough to afford a 2400 sq ft 4 br detached home in a good school district and save for 3 kids college tuition, or pretty much middle class. In Manhattan, KS, I'd live like a king on what my wife & I make (but wouldn't be able to find a job for my salary, either...). In Manhattan, NY, I'd be lucky to be able to afford a 3-BR apartment.

So long as you’re getting paid for the hours you put in

And not the value you deliver

You ain’t gonna make it

27 and make around £54,000 which I guess is equivalent to just under $70k in the US.
Feels ok considering I came into this job with very little experience and am learning as I go.
By 30 I'd like to be on £80,000 or so, which is what this job was originally listed at (but they signed me up with a lower wage because of a lack of experience and the job was DOE)

I feel like I have a low IQ so am quite happy with how I'm doing so far.

Some of the best advise I've ever heard was to not worry about what other's are doing and focus on what you're doing.

According to the chart, I'm on par, but I really don't worry about it. Honestly the things I'd like to change aren't involving income. Working on it, like everything else. Takes time.

you gonna act like immigrants in general didn't ruin canada/canada had no anti-immigration policies and got bent over and aided in the bending over by socialism? Pretty much facts Muzziechik, BC brah here can confirm.

Also: this isn't household income, right? Everything infers individual.
