It is of no consequence to allow someone to call themselves whatever they want to be called or to let them claim to be a man or woman. I do not care because it makes no difference. If you meet a transgender man it's the same as meeting a normal man, who cares. I don't care about either person to begin with let alone what set of genitals they want to have or claim to have. I believe some people genuinely feel that way naturally and others are riding the coattails of the movement to gain notoriety and attention. In any event, this is hardly different than anyone acting against other cultural norms and while it's hard to grasp from a lifelong heterosexual and binary perspective, especially in a world where this sort of thing wasn't too common until recently (publicly anyway), it genuinely doesn't matter. If a man wants to be a woman and help progress the feminist movement, go right ahead. The end result should be the focus, not the way it's done. Feminism is the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes and by it's own definition does not presume the gender of its advocates.

For this woman to post this is fine and she shouldn't have been fired. It's terribly sad that any opinion at all, even ones that mean no harm, are shot down and made out to be hate speech. If anyone truly cared about furthering their movement they wouldn't freak out instantly anytime something like this comes up, but instead use it as an opportunity to have an open dialog and chime in with something constructive. People getting fired left and right with no regard to the quality of work they actual produce is an issue and does nothing, but drive people apart or make them scared to speak their mind in the first place. A society where everyone is confused, scared to speak, and feels like their opinion isn't valid isn't one any body should want. Those who feel oppressed should be the first to understand this, but instead they themselves become the oppressors. We are likely doomed... god speed, gentlemen.
