I got the impression the bunker storm was in his head and not what he was ultimately preparing for. The storm at the beach was in fact the true storm he was preparing for (although he didn't realize it) because his daughter gave the sign for storm and his wife experienced the oily rain as well this time.

Aw fuk, i watched The Endless last year then saw this and decided to watch Resolution and then rewatch The Endless. Never knew it had a prequel.

Awesome movie though especially if you understand the metaphors in it. One of those movies most girls will watch and have NFC what it was about.

I really enjoyed Harsh Times and was surprised to find a lot of people never knew about it. Watched the Platform in Spanish the other day, looking forward to this Resolution or what not that people have suggested. Thank you.

A Room for Romeo Brass - Same director as Dead Man's Shoes. An oddball loner befriends two schoolchildren before turning sinister.

US movies

Animal Factory - A young, middle class youngster is thrown into a high security prison following a drug charge. He is befriended by one of the prison's top dogs.

The Lookout (2007) - A dude with memory issues from an accident gets caught up with a group of criminals planning to rob the bank he works at.



99 Homes (2015) - A dude who loses his house to foreclosure takes a job working for the guy who threw him out

I like the list. I haven't seen this movie yet, but it sounds very similar to:

Braid (2018):Two wanted women decide to rob their wealthy psychotic friend who lives in the fantasy world they created as children; to take the money they have to take part in a deadly perverse game of make believe.

It had some trippy scenes, but overall decent movie

Just saw ops movie and it was good but i didn't like the ending. I don't like it when the movie ending is open to interpretation just give me a proper ending give me closure.

7/10 imo.

I'll echo the 2 people (OP included I think) who said Triangle. I forget about that movie, but I do think it's a hidden gem. I'm surprised it didn't get more publicity, a brilliantly written mind phuck...



I only watched it because I was having a lazy Sunday afternoon with my mother. Then I was surprised that we found a hidden Gem.

I don't want to say anything about it, because IMO it's best going into the movie knowing as little as possible, so you are figuring things out as you go alone like the characters are.



The Autopsy Of Jane Doe.



Another find on a Sunday afternoon.

A father and son perform an autospy, but the more the look the more the discover that her injuries aren't possible, and there is no rational explanation for the state that her body is in. They try to figure out what happened to her. Some explantions to movie mysteries are let downs IMO, but I thought the explanation for her injuries was really well written.

Triangle is amazing - I would recommend it for sure

Watched Take Shelter as per everyones suggestion - great movie, would recommend.

If anyone is looking for a mind fuk time travel sort of movie, I would suggest: Primer



Very intellectual movie, you may have to watch it twice to fully understand it but it is gripping as hell. Best time travel movie I have seen

This will be considered a hidden gem to non-anime fanatics (I'm a non-anime fanatic).

I really didn't expect to end up loving this film, but it pulled my emotional strings. The story really doesn't go the way I expected, I thought that it was just going to be a straight body swap story (e.g. Freaky Friday)... Nope.

Themes in the movie are about the passage of time, bonds, and impermanence. Funny thing about the few animes that I've watched, they don't hit you over the head with themes, they present them very subtly.

That scene where she looks at her hand left me like this...




(I watched the dubbed version on Prime video.)




Dat ending tho...




Highly recommend for anyone looking for 'something different'.

For the non akin to anime, Ghost in the Shell and Akira are way better. Still a good movie though, a little on the feminine side.
