The list of demands for BLM is out, and sadly, it's absurd.

They might as well demand police don’t carry weapons and only a billy club like in the UK.

If it was me in charge I would give the the ol’ “those are great suggestions and we are going to devise a comprehensive plan to implement these ideas into our training over the next 3 years” and then I’d throw the list in the trash

I work in healthcare; do you think Doctors, nurses, techs, etc start to cuss out patients who are being overly rude? Seriously, you should come check out a busy inner city ER sometime, homeless people everywhere cussing at everyone trying to get their pain med fix. Yet, you don't see Doctors returning that same energy yelling at patients, cussing ,etc. Why? Because Doctors know they are held to a higher standard.

Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

I truly had been hoping for some useful ideas. This isn't it.

Also let's get rid of useless charges that only serve as a means to harass people. Ie - open container, selling loose cigarettes, obstructing pedestrian traffic (standing on a sidewalk lol)

The police's job is to enforce the law, not provide customer service. Police are only "nice" when it helps them do their job.
A doctor is providing a service, and they don't yell at patients because it doesn't help them do their job.

Isn't that kinda what they already do? Obviously a few bad apples but generally they try to resolve the situation without shooting.

We're going to witness the change that BLM and so many others want to see in terms of policing 'minority' neighborhoods. It means when people dial 911 for help. Police are going to respond slower. Because instead of one cop closest to the scene rushing in to help. He's going to stage up and wait for 1-3 other units before rolling in.
Proactive policing, which is so hated for locking up so many black males. Will slow drastically if not stop. Which means crimes that would have otherwise been prevented will occur. Expect homicide, robbery, car jacking, burglaries (business and residential) to all spike. With Freddie Grey in Baltimore violent crime spiked by more then 30% in black neighborhoods due to hands off policing.
Lastly. Your going to see cases where violent criminals get away. And the same officer's who might have put their life on the line to attempt to apprehend them will just shrug their shoulders and type a report. Why get involved in/cause a ****storm making an apprehension if it can cost you your job, reputation, etc.
Think its going to negatively affect people in upper middle-class neighborhoods and higher? Nope. They won't even notice a change in service. Poor people in minority neighborhood will be begging for the police to resume business as usual before this case even goes to trial. Only a matter of time before people are complaining that police aren't doing enough in poor/minority neighborhoods to stop the violence/crime.

Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

I'm all for trying a cop that shoots someone unarmed.
That counts for if the person is just holding a cell phone.
No one has a problem with legitimate police violence.
We want a zero tolerance policy for illegitimate police violence.

edit: Oh and less people are going to want to become a cop after this, therefore lowering the standards of people who do, leading to policeman who are less competent in every way. More criminals get away. More people (cops and public) die. Well done idiots.
