Mike Perry looked promising some 3 years ago, but he has absolutely no guiding light in his life. He rests all his trust on his girlfriends and they screw him over quite often. Honestly Mike isn’t a bad dude, he just isn’t very bright and doesn’t seem to trust anyone but himself and his love interests. I hope he changes before he ruins his own life for good.

Back in the day people understood how words do inflict damage onto a person. For example - Imagine a guy called someone's mother a dirty whore to her face, and her son was right there. If her son doesn't instantly smack the guy and "defend his mother's honor" then both mother and son will suffer as a result, the mother will think less of her son for not standing up for her, and the son will lose a piece of his soul for not standing up for her.

They referred to it as "fighting words". People tend to think that what is written in law is how things must be judged, as in, they believe that whoever throws the first punch is at fault... but that's not true in my view. The use of "fighting words" is essentially the first punch. Obviously coming to this logic with the premise that words do inflict harm on others, and others are 'forced' to respond. Going back to the mother/son example... the son is effectively forced to smack the guy insulting his mother... his hand was effectively forced, and the person using the fighting words forced his hand. The son in this case, in my opinion, is entirely justified to smack the guy.

Basically what I'm saying is, if a guy attempts to belittle you, or harm your reputation, or make a mockery of you, or make you feel like less of a man... I feel a person is justified in responding with a little jab to keep that person in check.

So then, should a person just go around throwing jabs at anyone who belittles them? Not if they want to stay out of jail... however they'd be justified in my view.
