Both red scooter brah right away. (Clearing intersection.) Potentially vehicular homicide.

Both yellow car brah in the right. Scooter brah didnt yeild.

Need witness statements and preferably a traffic camera.

To the tardmo saying that he was on the phone. No. Not enough evidence to support. You slam on breaks your bill will tip if wearing a hat.

If you dont have a ride that wins physics. This should he a lesson.

I'm not familiar enough with that light cycle/intersection to know what the scooter brah had. But my guess is, it was either solid red, yellow or blinking yellow that turned solid yellow right before he went through. Sometimes with intersections like that they'll put a blinking yellow signal which means you can turn left but have to yield to on-coming traffic because on coming traffic has a green light. When its about to turn red the blinking yellow goes to solid yellow like normal to let you know its transitioning to red.

As far as the car. His signal was either yellow or red.

So it is possible with intersections like that they both had a yellow light. In the event of a yellow light for both parties, the driver taking a left turn has to yield to the driver that's going straight.

Since the light changed right after the impact we know neither party had a green light.

I'm sure OP knows whether or not that intersection does the blinking yellow thing for left turn drivers. Its not really common everywhere though.

I agree you don't have a winnable case that the driver was on the phone. The window tint kind of makes it hard to determine. Even if you got a warrant for their phone gGL proving it wasn't on speakerphone and wasn't in hand. If texting, the text could have been sent before or after the impact.

As far as both on red possible man. The light changed quick after impact. I think scooter brah thought he could beat the light and oncoming traffic would stop. Regardless of light cycle I think scooter brah lost his life due to his carelessness.

Regardless of who is at fault, if you want to ride a bike on the road you need some level of training in hazard awareness, as a biker myself I damn sure would have checked to see whats coming before starting the turn, it really is basic stuff.

Fun fact old school. We have the ability to see front facing time. No matter if a text is being sent.

Screen xyz was up and or on default rest screen.

Agreed. No probable case unless phone/alcohol use was an issue and blasted to the forefront. Pretty straight forward.

unreal.

video is scaryy as phuckkk. phuck mopeds/motorcycles even tiny car can kill you instantly.

I guess instant death once his head hit pavement?

even if the e bike guy is at fault.

how can that person that hit him have no awareness at all that this guy is turning, you could see from mile he isn't slowing down into turn.

like wtf are you doing texting and driving to only look up last second.

I had guy blow stop sign that could have killed me if I moved forward while stopped at stop sign.

But I could tell from long distance that guy was just not paying attention.

i'm the type of person who will always try to help in most situations but not everyone is like that. Its totally plausible that the driver was in shock or immediately called emergency rescue. I would think that for a lot of people, instincts would kick in in a situation like that and what is something you always hear about wrecks? Always call emergency rescue, dont admit fault (for insurance cases) and make sure you are ok yourself

I think you can see that the pedestrian traffic alight is on red still also.

A lesson some people don't live long enough to learn. Same with aggressive high speed tailgating. It's the kind of behavior that exponentially increases your odds of dying while in your car.

Literally one of the most common crashes. Person in intersection sees it going from yellow to red and car 40 feet from intersection, completes turn. Guy enters intersection 1 or 2 seconds into the red and smokes guy making left turn.

Looks like both were trying to beat the yellow light. You gotta yield when making left turns. If you're gonna try to beat the yellow, the best thing to do is wait in the intersection and see if the driver is gonna slow down. Wether they take the yellow or not, you still have 2-3 seconds after the light turns red to clear the intersection.

A lot of people try to beat yellow lights, I just wait in the intersection. Full proof method for no accidents

yup, people will see it turn yellow and speed up to hit the intersection 2-3 seconds after they have the red

i think what i learned from this is to never try to beat the yellow light. only proceed when it's green. stop at yellow. also, obviously, never ever text or surf or Misc. when driving. thoughts?

Had it happen to me. Watched it actually go red and then complete the turn. got smoked on the rear quarter panel about 3 seconds into the red and the guy fled. Someone got his plate and he was charged with a hit and run, and running a red.

Right? When you get hit in a car, at least you stand a chance at not getting yourself rekt. Get hit on any type of bike, let alone smoked T-bone style like that, and you'll be lucky to survive it without serious injuries.

Also, gotta love how stupid so many people on motorized bikes dress. I get that it might be hot out, but that's no reason to wear crap like T-shirts, shorts, and flip flops. Doubly funny when they seemingly understand that what they are doing is extremely dangerous by wearing a helmet, but nothing to protect the rest of their body; not even pants. If I ever did get a motorcycle, I'd never ride it without a helmet, leather jacket, pants, and boots. Imagine the road rash and other injuries most people in accidents get if they don't have that gear on in a bad accident.
