your light turned green real quick after.. assuming one of them, if not both was trying to beat the red light depending on whether its a protected left?

reason #1 why i never even try to beat lights any more, not worth it

That really sucks for him. The good news is it looks like it was his fault for turning left in front of the car, so the car driver shouldn't feel too bad about it.

But I think it was the bikers fault. Going straight have the right of way than making a left on a green unless it was a green arrow left which it dont seem like it was. Or guy ran a solid red

you sure? looking at google maps that's a protected left turn, there's straight through traffic going both directions on what i assume is green lights so i imagine the biker's arrow has been red for a long time

looks to me like the biker just yoloed it on a stale red and the car was just trying to make it through a yellow

I ride a sport bike and everyone wants to talk about how dangerous they are. But when compared to bicycles, ebikes, scooters, cruisers, etc. I feel like it at least has the power and agility to get out of a sticky situation. When you have something with really low speed or that's heavy and slow. Its kind of hard to gas on/swerve to avoid a crash.



I was nearly run off the road last weekend. I'm cruising along, dude approaches the intersection from my left and takes a left turn directly into my lane (Never saw me). Luckily the shoulder was wide enough so no big deal but I literally could have slapped his passenger door window with my palm we were so close.
