It'll get better, then it'll get a lot worse(18-36 months is the worst IMO).

The lack of sleep is what's getting to you OP.

Does your wife/baby's momma work? If not, it's so much easier.

Just fuarking LOL@both parents working with a 1 month old. Chit is straight stupid.

LMFAO if you have kids before 40 (doesn't apply for women of course)

Only having kids when 40/45 with a young woman crew.

Aquire wealth, knowledge, keep fit and the world is your ****ing oyster especially if you're a white man.

And thank god everyday you're born as a man and not a woman whose eggs are almost gone by age 30.

your wife should be nursing the baby, holding it when awake (or letting it chill on the floor/baby mat), and then sleeping when the baby sleeps (babies sleep like 15-18 hrs a day split in pieces). You should be at work making money and getting rest at night so you can wake up rested and able to support the family with a job.

My wife and I dominated the baby stage. Toddler stage is harder (but more fun).

This. When I get married and have kids, the wife is staying home. Never understood how both parents could work with a baby. uwotm8?

People say “terrible 2’s” but ime it was 3 was the stage they start getting crazy. Also once they get older and can hold at least a somewhat intelligent conversation (usually around 8-10) it’s GOAT being able to teach them life lessons and watch as they absorb your advice and put it to use.

Also nothing feels better in the world than when your kid runs up and hugs you, says I love you daddy on their own.
This body holding me, be my reminder here that I am not alone.
Makes me feel eternal, all this Pain is an Illusion.

But yes, risks of autism increase with sperm from older men. But a man in his 40's is still prime to father children and risks are still very low, a woman in her 40's is GAME OVER when it comes to having children.

Like I said guys, thank god you're not a woman who bleeds every month.

Hang tight brother. First 2-3 months is absolutely brutal but it gets significantly easier very quickly. Once you get them sleeping thru the night is when it turns fun again. Even getting them down to one overnight feed is massive.

Believe it or not there will be a day, and soon, that you'd love to have your tiny little newborn asleep on your chest again.

Are you guys doing "happiest baby on the block"? Helps a lot with fussing

Actually very true. 75% of shaken baby incidents are from men. Men really aren't hardwired to care for a crying baby all day.

Ridiculous. I always fall back to the "how did women rear babies 2 thousand years ago".

They basically had that thing tied to them 24/7 in a carrier, and the baby alternated between sleeping skin to skin or feeding on the breast.

No

You are acutely aware of where your baby is in your bed and their movements while asleep

The only people rolling on babies are drunks or people on drugs

Most cultures outside of western share beds with their babies

Enjoy it while it lasts. I wish I could put on a waffle shirt and take a nap with my kids like I did when they were tiny.

Come home from work tired as fuk and want to relax “daddy daddy, we want to ride our bikes with you to the park.” x1000 until I give in.

We did cry it out and it worked great with both kids, did the second one at four months.

At ten days with my first I was having panic attacks and wanted to put the kid back. It takes a good few months to get into a good rhythm and then you can actually start enjoying watching them discover things, learn stuff and really take an active role in being a guide for them.

Plus, hot MILF friends. Get your wife to join a mothers' group and then they share the load and you can flirt with other hot moms.
This worked wonders for my first. Second wouldn't get off the tit tho and just couldn't make that it work. I couldn't believe it as it looks ridiculous but the swaddle and all the other chit is like magic. Lil harder if you have another rugrat that constantly fuks your efforts up and a hectic life, which happened on my second unfortunately.

First one was tough for me, and I’m sure is for any new parent. Thought I was ready, but took time to get used to devoting most of your time to your kid, and living the parent lifestyle.

New borns aren’t too bad. I think it’s the easiest stage. Hold them, feed them, and change them. No talking back or anything. Gets harder from there.

Second one is much easier. We’re also lucky that our second son has a very easy nature. He’s a good listener, doesn’t cry much or whines if he doesn’t get what he wants, and seems to be super smart. He’s 3 now, and we just have to explain everything to him. No tantrums or anything.

We tried for a third, but things didn’t work out. 2 is probably it for us. Now, I’m trying to enjoy and cherish these moments as much as possible. They grow up quick, and you don’t ever get to experience these moments ever again.

Our second was a very light/tough sleeper. There were nights when it would take 45 mins of me holding and rocking him to sleep. Some nights I would end up drenched in sweat rocking and bobbing up and down to get him to sleep. Also, had to become a master of quietly and gently putting him down to sleep. Wake him up and it’s another 30-45 min session of getting him to sleep.
