The flu is more deadly than COVID 19.

Both the UK and US government have admitted that deaths directly caused by COVID 19 are significantly lower than the COVID 19 death toll.
Governments have been recording deaths 'with' COVID 19 alongside deaths caused by COVID 19, so we have had misleading figures

People above 65 with underlying health conditions are the biggest ones at risk from dying.

People below that age, and are relatively healthy, have a much lower risk of dying.

Very disappointed at how meekly Melbourne has surrendered to what is essentially a totalitarian state. Quite pathetic.

This is what I said to do from the beginning. Lock everyone up until the virus is completely gone and the open it up (But not borders). So then we can live our lives as normal in the next few months when other countries are locked in limbo for years and years to come.

I don't know if any of you people actually read it, but he wasn't arrested for conspiracy theories (retarded title, OP), he was arrested for inciting protest.

What larger point exactly? I was originally refuting that we handed in all our guns. Talk about a weak strawman.

But say I bite and decide to humour you, the yank I originally quoted was talking about us not having guns to defend ourselves against a supposedly imminent tyrannical government. In the unlikely event of a civil war in our country I don't think people are going to be worried about laws bro.

I read the article during the day. Seems like they are making an example out of these people which will add fuel to the fire tomorrow. That pregnant chick getting arrested was a bad look. Might bite them in the face.

not really, you made it sound like we can own guns in the same context as americans but reduced capacity. i pointed out, it is impossible to do that as you cannot own a gun for self defence or even probably use it if you had it for other reasons.

They got a search warrant for his property for posting on ******** that he planned to attend an anti lockdown rally on saturday. The event hasnt even happened yet, he said he would attend it in the future, then they charged him with inciting a protest and resisting arrest.

Meanwhile did they charge any of these people for ACTUALLY carrying out a protest, not just "planning" on it?

I always go by the charges and do I think they fit the crime. I also look for universally equal enforcement. They got a search warrant for saying he planned to attend a protest in the future, which is pretty absurd and obviously is something they selectively enforce depending on the "reason" for a rally. Police determined he is guilty of wanting to attend a rally "for the wrong reasons" which is basically a thought crime.

Rough estimate but converting those to USD the prices are like 50-60% of those prices in the US.

Capacity depends on which states , some are cucked and have 10 round limits too. Non cucked state you get standard capacity for the same price.

I am so confused by this back and forth. I swear you are both on the same side about thinking Americans are retarded for bashing Australia.
Americans are paranoid and think the government is trying to constantly **** them over rather than do the right thing for the people so they get voted back in and keep their jobs.

Come on brahs direct your energy where its needed - we are out numbered on this forum enough as it is.

This sh*t, combined with the prime ministers comments of "the vaccine will be as mandatory as we can make it", has made me embarrassed to live in Australia (srs).

I don't get what pregnancy has to do with culpability. It's not unlikely that they arrested her because they knew it'd be a big deal in the media - effective message delivery. Same as when they told Johnny Depp and Amber Heard they'd put their dogs down.

Yeah, June. You know it's September now, that Victoria has had a pretty serious 'second wave' (by Australian standards), and that quite serious lockdown measures are in effect?

I'm not sure when it was, probably after the one you posted the photo of, but the police did crack down on a BLM protest, stopping it from forming and arresting six people, including an organiser?

Clearly not a reasonable comparison.
