Anyone posting crap about all their accomplishments are missing one important detail, how much more you could have done without them.
Just because you’re relatively successful and played video games doesn’t mean video games are ok for promoting success.
Video games were a drain, and you managed some level success in spite of them.

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Idk. I pretty much dont play games but they have their benefits
My parents let us play soooooo much. Sometimes my dad would get mad but we pretty much ignored him and by the time high school came around we kinda just naturally dropped them
Prob helped we played sports. Not really sure the reason why we stopped but we did (we being all of my bros and i). And like i said before.. we played the god dam* chit out of them

i played video games until i was about 16..
then moved on to other hobbies, like music, woodworking, lifting.. then went to college/university
i only played video games again at almost 35..
and honestly i dont think anything changed.. its just a distraction.
if anything, i think its easier to make friends playing video games than not.

But let’s be real gamers are notorious for sinking obscene amount of time into playing.
Pick any other hobby. Let’s say hiking. Now imagine you hiked every day for 3 hours a day. You don’t think that would be a problem from a time perspective?
But yeah if you have the self-control to keep in within a normal range of time to spend on a leisure activity then go for it. Sadly though most gamers don’t come close or even have a general concept of what would be reasonable.
And that’s why it’s a terrible hobby.

As a kid raised on video games, I agree with this. Massive regrets not living life when I was younger.

Op is a *******. Yeah there is always overdoing it, but thats the same with most hobbies. Im mean seriously, the regular jo before the internet would just rot watching tv after work, atleast if your playing video games (especially strategy games etc.) you actually have to think.
Why do you even care what others do in their spare time? You do you.

I think video games are one of the better things to do on a PC.
Getting lost on ********, instagram, reddit, youtube or even this forum can be a way moreuseless time sink and just as addictive. Especially, if you acess it from your phones.

I think smart phones, tablets and social media are worse for a kid than just regular video games.
Look at 80s/90s kids who just grew up with just video games compared to kids today and see the levels of depression and mental health issues have skyrocketed.

I'd say video games are actually a positive past-time.
- Problem solving skills
- Appreciation of various art forms
- Early understanding of narrative, heroes journey
- Lessons in morality
- Hand-eye coordination
Smart phones / social media is FAR worse. With video games, they need to accomplish things and overcome obstacles, solve puzzles, etc. With social media like Instagram and TikTok they act like autistic *******s; lip-syncing, doing weird facial expressions, bouncing like Steamboat Willy on TikTok, getting exposed to weird content from degenerate people, "internet challenges" that are only challenging for actual retards, memes dominating their sense of humor, clinging desperately to every trend, obsession with irony and snarkiness, etc.
