Well huge disappointment today . Guy in Calgary tells me not to panic as there’s 19 available in Ontario.
I order it a week later only to find out there sold out already . Never would have thought an item this big and expensive would sell out so quick .
Sold my rower to make room, now I can’t find a decent machine

This could be a blessing in disguise OP. I have done a lot of research trying to find a good Hack/Leg Press combo but many of them have two common problems - 1.) Hack Squat won't reach below parallel and hack squat foot plate isn't deep enough, meaning your toes are hanging off the end of it.

Unless you've gotten to actually test one out, I'd be slightly wary of these combo machines. PowerTec has a leg press and hip sled that are compact, and you could get them both for about $2000 combined.

I try not to think about it lol. It’s something I enjoy doing, so cost doesn’t really come into play .
Heck , I know guys that have 30K invested in a single snowmobile.

I always seem to take something on , and then I keep tweaking it like an obsession. Probably some kind of autism I’m sure

Anyone familiar with this machine ? I’m almost debating to kibosh a dual machine in favour of a leg press,as your squat is essentially a hack squat .
One thing I’m liking about this leg press is the fact that it’s plate loaded , so I believe with its narrow stance of 32” , that I will still be able to keep my water jet bed in the gym beside it .

I have to say the price of the Powertec is awesome ,and it looks like a quality machine . Of course shipping is going to be killer unless I find a dealer in Calgary Alberta .

I have Powertec equipment and while I'd say it's decent for a home gym it's nowhere near the level of commercial equipment. The adjustable bench has a lot of hinges and pivot points and has a lot of play. It's just not built to very high standards. I don't know anything about the leg press or what your expectations are in regard to quality but based on my experience I wouldn't trust it without trying it out first.

I was a little concerned, as along time ago I bought their squat rack bench combo . The bench was adjustable and has a terrible wobble in its design

Have you never used this style? Personally I find these to be a lot easier on the knees and lower back. They're also great for calves. The downside is you're limited to the weight stack. The ones I've used have a fixed foot plate and the seat is a sled that's attached to the weight stack. Very heavy duty piece of equipment with I'm sure a price tag to match.

Never tried one but I’ve heard good things . Interesting that you brought that up,as I was just looking at something similar .

Well I wish this wasn’t so far to the east . I’ve never seen a weight stack loaded hack squat machine before , or knew there was even such a thing ?
