I read something from a cop brah awhile back that in their dept training, they simulated a knife attack by having officers wrestle another officer with a Sharpie. Goal was to disarm him and get him to the ground while Sharpie brah tried to stab them.
After a couple minutes, the whole room was just mf'ers walking around with pen marks everywhere, and everyone got the message.
r/DeadOrVegetable has taught me that if a brah has a weapon, and you don't have a weapon, you should be getting the hell out of there ASAP. Guns, knives, cars, bottles, decent sized rocks, bats... actually bat fights are kind of winnable if you keep it standing up and get inside their reach, but if you go to the ground, expect to die.
ETA: I think it was BetaAsPhuck that posted this awhile ago... 10/10 video.

With bat guy I walked away and a neighbor called the cops on him. 1.5 weeks later his girl got arrested. I watched with binoculars. It was pretty satisfying. She was most likely the problem but the dude was a dickbrain too.
With torque wrench guy I held up my arms with straight fingers in an X and he backed down and left. Some people are just chitbrains unfortunately.

If someone threatened me with a wrench I'd just kick him in the nuts and take his wrench, then that ******* wouldn't be able to tighten things, and I'd have his wrench, so I could like go work at a body shop or something with my new wrench.

I know brahs who deal with this chit all the time in law enforcement.
1.) Dirt. SRS
And lose stones, debris, sheet rock crumbled up, ECT. Just lob ****e at the assailant in volume... eventually the yes are compromised. Your still going to get cut and possibly killed, but if you can compromise the line-of-sight for even a second... thats your window.
2.) Shirt/belt.
Again.. your likely going to get cut/killed... but both fo these can be used to tangle the enemy's hands up and complicate the attack enough for your to stomp feet, ankles, groin, or get a solid knee or foot the their diaphragm.
3.) Booze. Dead SRS in bar fight with knife.
The Russians know their chite.... Take a massive gulp of vodka or any alcohol drink near by and keep the mouth full. Once the guy with the knife gets close, spit the alcholal in the most misty way you can... a few particulates is all you need to make the ****ers eyes water like crazy.
4.) ANY single think you can acquire from a stool, chair, book, stick, broom handle... literally anything to place physical mass of any kind between you and the blade.
Make no doubt about it... in even ideal situations and being fully trained... your likely getting cut or stabbed at least once and could be killed. Knife attacks in real life are desperate, aggressive, and chaotic attacks that are usually not telegraphed unless you physically see the blade before. It is not like the movies and chite happens fast, violently, and unrelenting. SRS
Run away at all costs. No-one wins in a knife fight... one usually dies on the scene and the other in the ambulance SRS

I think grab improvised weapon with longer range than the knife or something to keep distance
If theres nothing available do what other miscers suggested, assume you're gonna get cut or stabbed. Try not for it to be somewhere fatal.
Slightly easier if you have the numbers advantage

If there was nothing nearby I could use ie. Stones, shoppingcart (lol) or whatever... the only thing would be to try and block the knife with my weak hand and accept that I will get cut, while trying to land a KO punch with my strong hand. At least I used to box, so I got a better chance than most at landing that punch.
If knife attacker is trained, it’s goodnight sweet life for 100% certain.

I genuinely think trying to drill disarms and things like that are extremely low percentage if the person with the knife is intent of stabbing you. Obviously the best option is to gtfo of there but if that's not an option I think I'd rather have spent my time boxing, muay Thai etc and just pray that I can land a bomb on his chin before he can stab first.

Jesse Ventura got attacked by a guy with a huge knife walking backstage. As he said, “When a guy is coming at you with a knife, you’re usually going to have to sacrifice some body part to the knife in order to get him.” Then an off duty cop jumped down from the stands and cuffed him in a matter of seconds. Lucky break.
I think I’d take my shirt off as fast as possible to use as a make-shift shield. Try to block his knife hand with that and then strike him or take him down once the guy with the knife tried to stab your hand with the shirt/shield covering your hand. Idk.
