Most of my NFL fan buddies are fat bloaters that rarely move in general. I tease them about the commercials and they say those are the best. It's like they're brainwashed almost.

We want to see the biggest, strongest juiced up athletic freaks in the world who left humanity behind doing things we can only dream about. That's why the NFL had almost all the top 100 TV broadcasts last year. No other sport even cracked the top 100 - even the NBA finals, world series, NHL stanley cup, etc.

I can't imagine meeting some manlet twink soccer player and being impressed. Like congrats for throwing youself at the ground for 90 minutes better than anyone else, I guess.

Hockey has better viewership here, especially in non-world cup years and even moreso if you ignore women's teams.

Also Golf and Tennis. 4/7 of the likely most popular sports here aren't American. So why are you saying we have a disdain for sports not invented here? Just because not as many people like soccer as football?

Ask your average American who won the US Open, NHL championship, or MLS championship last year and they'll be clueless. The big three sports in America are Football, Baseball, and Basketball. Why, because we invented them and that's what we give a fuk about. Literally every other sport is secondary at best to Football, Baseball, and Basketball
