Pre-ordered the second I could. The developers behind this remaster really know what they are doing and from what they have shown us so far, it is going to be a hell of ride. See you all in hell.

D4 wont be out for a good two years at the very least from what they have shown us. The remaster is coming out this year to keep us busy until they release D4. My money on September release for the remaster.

Hope they keep all the runewords as is. I wouldn't be surprised if Jah and Ber go for $100s of real currency the first month the game is released.

I am sure the game was amazing 20 years ago and I am sure it will do well in sales due to nostalgia.

Having said that I find it hard to believe that it will actually be a better game than Path of Exile.

It won't replace Path of Exile mainly because Blizzard of today is not Blizzard North. Today's blizzard is 100% money driven with no creative power. WoW Classic, D2 remastered, Diablo mobile (BIG LOL) what are they going to remake once they run out of Blizzard North games?

What I am trying to say have Blizzard North still around, POE would not have stood a chance, but with current Blizzard, POE is ruling supreme.

I remember Age of Empires conquerors expansion was my all-time favorite game back in the day. When the remaster HD version was announced i was super hyped but when i actually got to play the new version, it was not nearly as fun as I remember it back in the day and i quickly moved on to other games.

I know we complain alot about games today but games have come a long way. Recently I installed Mass Effect III and tried playing it and the graphics were so **** i just couldnt get into it. Ended up installing Mass Effect Andromada and am having fun with it (they seemed to have fixed almost all the isseus w the game).

It's still amazing due to a near perfect design as a result of true passion for the genre. Even the art and design is still impressive. The item variety, having 8 player open world and open PVP. Not being instanced when farming, the music, just everything. Class identity was also amazing alongside the best way to handle leveling XP - a quick soft cap then exponential effort for premium results to a near impossible hard cap. It also had the best synergy of items and affixes, including mobs. Things like Iron Maiden is awesome. It also had one of the best hardcore environments of any game. Area specific items was also brilliant and the "boost" community was second to none.

Blizzard North D2 is a God tier game that's had a consistent population since it's release. People are still playing it now, 40k+ in peak times. More people than Diablo 3.

Blizzard will fuk this remake though, it won't just be a true graphical port. I could already tell from teh trailer the speed felt off. For this to work they need to touch nothing else other than visuals and multiplayer UI. No balance, no "OMG hammers are too OP" no "Enigma teleporting needs changing".

lol @ anyone thinking D2 is out dated. I play games all the time when I wasn't even around or a functioning human being. Good design is timeless, visuals can be changed. I despise the current Blizzard but if they do this right--which I doubt they will--only then will I grace them with some of my money. If you're pre-ordering this then never ever complain about a poor release.

I can already see morons in YT section going on about "what new things are they adding?". Like they want new classes etc... I guess some people don't know how to read. Nothing is needed in D2, just your seasons and community. If they fuk this up they are truly beyond salvation.

What seemed off from the trailer? Haven’t played in 20 years but nothing looked weird to me. In the deep dive last night, they explicitly said they stayed true to all that. Literally all they’ve changed is graphics, UI, and some multiplayer related things.

Its definitely not worse than i remember *******. I still fire it up every year or two.

Will keep an eye on this game. I haven't played games for a long time. I keep trying but just don't gaf. I played wow classic when it came out and loved it. Only stopped cause of my kids. Maybe I'll text D2. I remember i use to play it all the time and it was fun. Don't remember much more. Not gonna lie, the fact that everyone is so far ahead of me in knowledge and will be maxing chars so quick is a bit disheartening.

I tried POE but it was way too complicated. I had like a million stupid stone things and chit to plug into my weps. Wouldn't be bothered to spend hours figuring all that junk out

WoW Classic is trash. Tried it and was reminded why modern WoW is the way it is with all the quality of life things - because it's better that way. Period.

Diablo 2 > WoW anything.
