The problem with scientists is that they are all autistic. They are so focused on their niche area of expertise, that they fail to see the bigger problems.... ie. that white people are becoming extinct. Who cares about landing on mars if the only race of humans that can keep a civilised society together is about to go away permanently.

The future of earth is a third world chithole theocracy and another dark ages, due entirely because white people will become extinct. White people have a built in flaw that assumes other races are good and the same. They're not, and this mindset will ruin humanity for ever.

So yeah, its exciting and it obviously has new and upgraded stuff but it’s not like they started from scratch. But my point is we will never set foot on Mars if we rely on NASA.

Meanwhile SpaceX is building:

-the largest rocket and flying object ever
-they are doing this way faster and cheaper than NASA could ever dream of doing
-they aren’t just going to be building a few of them there will be dozens or hundreds of them
-fully reusable
-drilling gas wells on site for quick and cheap rocket fuel
-building ocean launch platforms out of old oil rigs.
-NASA literally pays them to send crew and cargo to orbit now because NASA can’t do it themselves despite billion in funding

What are NASA’s plans to bring back those rock samples they talk so much about? The answer is they have no real plan. It’ll be 20 years and another 20 billion dollars from now before we get those back unless SpaceX steps up and handles it. What am I wrong about?

NASA is obviously the GOAT government space program but others are comparable. The UAE and China also sent missions to Mars during the 2020 window but they aren’t nearly as impressive as what NASA sent. China has really stepped up their game on lunar missions and Russia/USSR has sent missions to other planets like Venus.

Really the limiting factor of space exploration isn’t thinking of ideas on what do to, where to go and building rovers/orbiters, it’s being able to launch those things into space in a timely and cost effective way. My hope is that will change soon.
