For me I had a free day where I wasn't needing to do anything else so I just threw it on at lunch and ate all day whilst watching it lol

Really enjoyed this version much better. Cyborg was a MUCH needed character in this one and actually belonged in this cut. I also agree with others on flash’s running being terrible form for a speedster. Hell if CW can get that part right why can’t the movie?

Also agree with the other guy about the glaring plot hole imo. How could they be advanced enough to conquer 100,000 worlds and not know how to get back to earth? Wouldn’t darkseid remember where he lost the mother boxes? That was kindve hard to suspend belief for but overall thought it was a good movie.

SPOILERS

Way better than the original, think Steppenwolf benefitted the most - I thought he just sucked the first time around and there was nothing interesting about him.

Pros:
-Way better character development all around, they were really stupid for having the Aquaman movie come out after this, he was much less likable without that backstory, and that dumb ass thing they did with his eyes in this film was distracting.
-Flash was better, not sure why the person who should have the most optimized running form in the universe looks like he's flailing around like an idiot when he does it though.
-TBH they blew it with how they lined these up and letting Wheedon detonate any hope of recovery, I thought the presence/threat of Darkseid was way greater in this one film than the 20+ films leading up to Thanos in the Marvel U. Obviously Thanos ended up being awesome and I really enjoyed those movies, but his little stints in the credit scenes in those movies never made me think, "Oooh watch out!"
-I can't remember the original too much because it was so bad I was half checked out, but I feel like Superman just swooped in an whooped Steppenwolfs ass on his own in the first one? It was actually a team effort in this, which was 1000x better.

Cons:
-Way overdid the slow motion. It's annoying when it gets used that much.
-Why the same stupid ass horn music whenever WW did something IN slowmotion, my God, distracting.
-Probably could have cut like 20-30 minutes out, I started to fade a little bit during the Superman reunion stuff and some of Cyborg's story, and I watched it in two 2 hour chunks.
-Jessie Eisenberg was and is still the worst casting decision in a movie ever for Lex Luthor. I would have asked the Smallville guy to do it, still the best Lex I've ever seen.
-Deathstroke looked like a stroke. Bad cosplay ****, his goatee looked like someone pasted a rug to his face.

I thought Leto was better than his other Joker performance (but that's not saying much, went from like a 0 to a 5, still not sure what he would have been capable of - that script was not great).

I actually like what they were thinking about doing, Superman is in my top 3 comicbook characters, but I think he suffers in these Justice League situations due to how powerful he is. His best stories are unrelated to power vs. power conflicts. Although I think it might have been better if he just refused to fight/left rather than becoming bad Superman. If they just wanted to jack the Injustice storyline I would have been fine watching that play out for sure, they would have been way more bad ass than the normal, bad guy arrives, everyone unites and fights.

It was what DC needed.

I'm glad they cut all that hore**** rock music out to make it epic and gave the flash a proper scene.

It was sick as far as Super Hero CGI goes. Made me think of man of steel.

Hopes weren't huge so watching this was like watching a new movie besides certain fight scenes.

Watching now but don’t really have a negative opinion on the original. I liked the original.

Not a fan of this screen size. I’m sure the movie is going to be fine.

Thought it was better than the original but still wasn’t that great. The story was all over the place.

I much preferred it over avengers also. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think the avengers is terrible or anything. The had a couple I really liked also.

No way is this better than the last 2 Avengers movies, and I'm a DC fanboy. The Avengers was quality from top to bottom and felt finely crafted and polished. Zack's JL was pretty decent but inconsistent and some really bad creative choices.

I wish each of these characters would have gotten their own movie first ala Marvel leading up to the Avengers. Couldve cut 2 hours of backstory out of it if they did. That being said, I thought the movie itself was pretty epic.

I really didn't like Endgame. I honestly was bored until the fight scene (I'm not even exaggerating, I was really looked forward to it and I was bored out of my mind), IMO it was almost pure fan service. I loved Infinity War though, a great action thriller storyline/direction.

IMO Infinity War > Justice League Snyder Cut > Endgame (It's also close for me regarding Infinity War and Justice League Snyder Cut. I can see myself rewatching JLSC way more than Infinity War.)
I did. I felt like they tried too hard. A lot of it was cringeworthy. I know many Marvel and DC characters are copies of each other with different names, but Marvel made all the movies first. Infinity stones = mother boxes, same types of desires for Thanos and Darkseid, Iron Man = Cyborg, Flash runs like a *******, internal struggles within the group, etc are all so similar that it's just annoyingly repetitive. Everything came together within the Marvel universe very well in the movies. JL was rushed and I can't respect the money grab that they did in rereleasing the movie 4 years later.

Oh, and the 4:3 ratio and the 4 hour length were absurd.

He sacrificed himself to save humanity in Batman vs Superman.

I think 2 movies of purely good Superman, and 1 movie where he "is not quite right" but is still good, is a believable pace for his character arc for the movie universe. Othewise IMO it risks being like Star Wars episode 1,2, and 3 where they crammed Anakin turning evil almost exclusively into the last movie.

Like I said though, there is another reason why he turns to Dark Seid. It's not just due to Lois and him being brought back from the dead.

Each to their own though, if you don't like the Arc.

Finished it. Second half better than first. Impressive visuals. Decent movie. Not sure if it adds a lot more over the theatrical cut though.
