Even our CEO came out and said it’s everyone’s choice whether we get the vaccine or not.

I don’t want to have kids so that’s good.

Also I already had Covid and it sucked and I don’t want to be sick with it again. We know people can get sick with it multiple times even after having developed antibodies, just like other forms of coronavirus and the seasonal flu.

I’d rather feel like crap for a day than feel like crap for 2 weeks. To each his own.

they say the vaccine is over 90%+ effective. This isn't like other viruses like measles or ebola, covid has a 99.9% survival rate for the population and around 95% for those over 80. Just yourself getting the vaccine would put you at least 99.5% not to mention a good 50-60% of the population getting the vaccine and maybe add 10-20% who have developed antibodies for it. So the odds of you even getting in the first place would be slim (provided the vaccine maintains it's effectiveness in a real life scenario where millions are vaccinated versus testing a few thousand).

If the vaccine works for you why do I need to take it, makes no sense why people want others to have it if they are vaccinated and protected. This is like forcing lockdowns on people, if you are locking yourself down out of panic and fear how do others getting on with their lifes affect you. I.e they don't, people are nosey as shiet now and want to tell others what to do.

I like to travel and I saw what other countries, cruise lines, airlines, ect were up to. It could determine whether or not you can enter places and it is free.

To me, it's this BS "empathy for others" by people who are self serving that do nothing for anyone unless it's for their own personal gain. All these people who suddenly have a warm heart for their fellow man. They think they can DEMAND others to do what they want.

Much like Cuomo hid the fact that tens of thousands of NY deaths in the nursing homes were due directly to his orders and we didn't find that out for 6-8 months, I wonder how long it will be before we learn the true death tolls from these vaccines.

Not getting it myself unless I am forced for travel or something. Not fat, old or preexisting conditions. The response to Covid (Media, it turning political) is also partially why I don't want it.

My boss sent a group-text to 30 of us construction bros, saying our contract with hospital meant we can have free vaccine right away. Only 5 out of 25 said yes, the rest said no or didnt respond.

So AstraZeneca had their numbers slightly disproven, which was a shock to the US community as they just tested it. Two days ago they were saying that this was great and it was good to go, and now they are saying that they should stop.

Good point. You can't be compassionate or empathetic on one hand and then celebrate the suffering of others. You can't do others wrong but say it's okay because they did something wrong, ect. Claiming to be a loving person, but yet displaying hate. Say you are kind, but then being mean, but thinking because you have a justification, it is okay. That's straight up psychotic behavior, at least the trait of a narcissist.

I work in a software/tech company, so naturally it's a high-soy content organization. Literally every call these days people talk about the vaccine and how excited they are to be getting it.

One of my Trump-hating coworkes said on a call this week with an international client "Yeah now anybody 16 or older can sign up in Utah, it's amazing what a change in administration is doing"... I almost lost my chit lol.

I'm not going to say yes, and i'm not going to pretend I didn't hear the question. Around the election I told everyone that I didn't want to discuss politics but they kept pressing me so I finally made it clear i'm republican and they haven't bothered me since so I am hoping that making it extremely clear that I will not get it will get everyone to piss off

vax was offered to us at work and they won't say how many got it but apparently we had A LOT of it left over to donate to the local government.

Damn that sucks bro. I'm an officecell too working for the government. But we're still working from home. Whenever it gets brought up I just give a chuckle and let the group talk. Everyone is getting it though so I'm sure i'll get the pressure soon. Supervisor sent out vaccination e-mails twice. It kinda felt like the second time he was low-key targeting the people who never responded the first time.
