They have to be able to run long distances, maneuver around other people and at the same time do skills with a ball traveling really fast. And have a high level of skill, being able to put the ball exactly where they want it when they pass, shoot, clear, etc.

Anyone can kick a ball and get it near the direction that they want especially when shooting at a net that large. A 5 year old can kick a ball to you without ever kicking one before.

Football(soccer) is the most talented sport in the world. It's played on every continent and all you need is a cheap football. You need to put in thousands of hours to compete with people around the entire world, you're competing for a spot against an African in a mud hut and a Brazilian in the favelas.

It doesn't how rich you are or how poor you are, skill is skill.

I'd say basketball is the least talented popular/well known sport. All you gotta do is be tall and you're automatically a basketball player. You'll be asked to join the basketball team not because of your great shot/passes/dunks but "bro, you're 6'5. Join the basketball team" even though you couldn't catch a cold nevermind a ball. That Shaq guy is the least co-ordinated dude I ever seen and he was hugely famous supposedly.

Soccer is played by everyone because it takes no talent to play and anyone can do it. Thanks for proving my point.

Like I said, a little kid can swing a club and hit a golf ball too. Doesn't mean they are actually skilled at it. I can throw a ball, does that mean I can be a professional baseball player?

Have you ever seen a little kid swing a golf club? Will take 20 swings before they even hit the ball, not soccer any kid can kick it with their first try.

Most countries outside of the US are over populated and poor. So they stick to a talentless sport and watch a talentless sport. It’s a no brainer.
