You're correct sir, I am only on that potentially builder / developer Training time so I am still learning about everything but that is exactly what I am talking about SRS. picture isn't working for me though.

At the same time, people who were locked down at home decided they wanted to build a deck, maybe redo the kitchen furniture, etc. and others decided that now was a good time to buy/build a house, and yes low interest rates are a motivator for people to build. Therefore driving the demand upwards.

It boils down to low supply and high demand. This will always mean ridiculous prices.
Makes sense I have heard similar things from other people seems like it'' correct itself out in a year or so if biden and dr. CUCKfaucci don't go full potato.

It’s not just wood either, there’s talk of a super cycle across a huge range of commodities. Pretty sure steel is spiking hard along with a whack of rare earths and who knows what else

Can confirm steel spike.

Work email snippet from the other day:

Mills and factories shutdowns - as well as their slow restart once restrictions were lifted - triggered a lingering disruption to the supply chain, sending prices sky-high. For example, in the US, the hot-rolled coil price benchmark increased by over 180% (more than $800 /s.ton) to reach a new record high of $1,240 /s.ton on 10 March, as stated by CRU. In Europe the situation is not different. The recovery in steel output continues to be insufficient to meet current demand, as several steelmakers are facing technical problems when resuming production. Consequently, EU steel coil prices are expected to continue their hike, reaching record levels in the April/June quarter, tells MEPS.

Up here most commercial buildings use these but we still have a shut off valve of some sort inside the building.
Plus the god damn keys for these things break all the time.

There’s talk about it happening with oil but it’ll be more drawn out. Some of the major banks are forecasting $100/barrel at some point over the next three years as demand recovers from the pandemic and supply falters

Alberta oil blends are already trading at prices we’ve barely seen since the drop in 2014 tho, our producers are doing fine (I work in O&G)

3 years ago why my contractor remodel my house, he was complaining plywood increased a lot to $15 each.

Just checked right now and the same 5/8" 4x8 is $60. Crazy.
