Do NOT have ANY interaction IRL or electronically with the guy unless you are a step-dad/influential figure to his kids ( no mention if the GF has kids by the ex-husband)
if you're around the guy's offspring, you should have some type of conversation about boundaries in regards to parenting/dealing with the offspring. that's all I have to say,I've never been in that situation, so I'll leave it at that.
assuming there's no offspring involved, just leave that crap outside, no need to interact with guy, talking to him will not help you or your GF.
if it is raining outside, tell your GF to answer the door and give him the stuff, then part ways, treat it like a Fedex delivery. no need to meet or see the guy, again that'll do harm with no benefit.
