OP you described your savings, and how much extra you're saving on top of your CoL. Those are important details, but what is your income, and what about your non-retirement investment accounts? If your income is like $75k, then it sounds like you're in a situation where you're barely spending anything on fun/CoL at all, or otherwise live with family or roommates or something of that nature. Perhaps it would be time to live alone and move out, if that's your scenario.

If the bulk of your money is in savings, as opposed to investments, then I'd suggest you move most of it over (barring like $15-25k for an emergency fund) to get some further growth and to make more than inflation while doing it.

My net worth is roughly $80k at 26, and I hope to see it grow to $300k+ by 30 myself (with enough savings and investment growth). I'd hope to be at that point with the idea that I could perhaps retire early, somewhere in later 30's or early 40's, at a net worth closer to $2 million. Is retiring early not your motivator? If it is you're doing well. If it's not, then you gotta think about why you want a lot of money and determine how to utilize it to the best of your ability.

I'm also at ~500kish at 30. About half is 401k + Roth IRA, rest in taxable brokerage index funds. I didn't have student loans, and I got my stock options bought out at company for 80k a few years ago (which I reinvested) so I know I'm fortunate. I stopped saving so much, upgraded to a nicer place, and now spend everything outside of my retirement savings.

The sad part is it's actually fairly easy to see if you will have "enough" for retirement and by when.

$500k saved at 30 would be extremely good, most people with net worth over $1million would be closer to 60 and sitting on big real estate and/or retirement accounts

When you're young there is no such thing as saving too much money.

I saved prodigiously when I was young, I'm at the point now where contributing to my retirement savings is useless because my current investments make $50-$60K a year now.
