Am I saving too much money?

I'm 30 years old. I saved about $50k last year (max 401k + $30k invested in non-retirement accounts).

Total savings (including retirement accounts) is ~$550k.

Should I just max the 401k for the employer match and tax benefits and just YOLO the rest?

I'd continue for another couple years minimum as your returns/gains are not going to be contributing significantly more than the savings from your income. It's still worth saving

Buy an appreciating asset if there's something you want. Also back door roth is a good option as others suggested.

real estate rentals in a market that you can afford with multi family units. Also, avoid over priced markets like Cali, the Bible Belt zone has some good and still affordable options

Oh, Airbnb’s in Florida and South Carolina near the beach and Atlanta are also a good option.
