3300 including tax and insurance. 2700 sq ft house on 8 acres in the most “desirable place to live in the US” (Wall Street journal). It used to be the greatest place to live until the mass influx of Californian and Seattle refugees. Now I’m looking for an exit plan

$1067.39 a month. 18 years left on the mortgage. Currently debating on whether I want to put 20 - 40k into fixing up my bathroom and kitchen, or just rocking out with it as is. It is dated but functional. I have enough equity in it to cash out refi if I didn't want to spend my cash on hand. Adding that chunk back on top of the mortgage seems like death to me though. I'm fairly concerned about property taxes going sky high over the coming years though so the cheaper my mortgage is the better.
