...So basically you're just using this FDA thing as an excuse or to rationalize you not getting it.

Which is what a lot of people are doing. It's been politicized so much that most people have made their minds up (and even if the information changes, minds are made (or people dont want to look inconsistent)). Stupid menality imo.

Feels good being alpha and not being scared of a flu.

Americans used to storm beaches with a 99% chance of dying.

Now they shiver at a 99.99% survival rate lmaoooo

That is some dumb ****, right there. I'm an atheist and before all this garbage I wouldn't have considered myself conservative. I certainly don't have "faith" in science. Science is a process, it is not something you just have faith in. In the scientific world, one is always questioning and testing hypotheses and retesting to verify the conclusion.

The problem is, it is humans doing the science and humans are innately flawed and susceptible to bias, politics, and their ego. Therefore, we must always question both the science and the people involved in the scientific field.

This. Covid smelled like rubbish since the beginning. Constant fear mongering and inflated death tolls. I believe all it did was steamroll the elderly already on their death bed and fatties who would've been defeated by their own heart soon anyways.

I'm not an anti-vaxxer... actually got more vaccines than I can remember when I enlisted in the Air Force. Vaccines that were developed over decades for REAL terminal causes.

Here is yet another example of the BS that creates anti-vaxers:

Doctors giving their opinion, sounds great right?

https://www.google.com/search?q=NAC+ban+Amazon

Yeah, no, banned. BTW, NAC is literally an amino acid bound to an acetyl group so it can be absorbed. This would be like banning ceatine or caffeine.

Even if you've been jabbed but are against mandatory vaccination you're still an 'anti-vaxxer' - so pretty much everyone
True.

It's called honesty and respect. They lied [or weren't completely truthful] and treated the public as if we are all quite stupid. Yes, some percentage aren't very bright, or are easily lead, but there wasn't much risk of losing the trust of that group.

All I see is that the two viral vector vaccines, J&J and AstraZeneca, have been linked to clotting and now Guillane Barre.
- Guillane Barre is showing up at 300% to 500% higher rate than usual in those who have received the J&J vaccine.

- There have only been about 100 cases of Guillane Barre post vaccine out of 12.8 million people that received the J&J vaccine.
^^^
Both of these statements are perfectly factual and also illustrate the kind of potato games that government and media have been playing with the pandemic and how it is represented to people.

Sort of like the study I found saying that if you have a lot of people with immunity [naturally acquired or vaccination] and you do screening tests [no symptoms, required by school/job/for travel] then only about 1/3rd of the positive results will be actual cases of infection.

So where is that caveat being shared re:cases? They will tell you that cases have increased X percent, or give some kind of large number of total cases to scare people, but they won't talk about the total percentage of positive tests being up to 66% fake news, or that the number of deaths as a percentage of cases aren't zooming upward.

Just be good and get the jab.

So because people are hesitant about the numerous Covid vaccines, they're labeled an "Anti-Vaxer?"

Yeah apparently in libtard world even though you are vaxxed for all the real stuff when you dont want to take an experimental vaccine for the turbo Trump killer flu you are all of a sudden an ANTI VAXXER!

We all know what this is, and some of us just arent playing the game.

Novavax can't come fast enough, to be honest.
I really hope it is winner.
If a vaccine like Novavax that causes fewer or less severe side effects becomes available, vaccination rates may increase among people in lower-income communities who can't afford to miss a day’s worth of pay. According to recent Census Bureau data, more than half of unvaccinated Americans live in households that make less than $50,000 annually.
- can't afford to miss work/no paid sick leave
- limited or no access to healthcare

Sure if you have a good paying job with sick time and health insurance then being under the weather a couple of days probably seems like a small price to pay. Plus if some serious problem turns up later you are better set to weather it.
Subunit vaccines are reliable and familiar—they have been around for many years. This technology is behind many of the routine childhood vaccinations for whooping cough, diphtheria, tetanus, and hepatitis B.4 They are also more stable and easier to store, unlike mRNA vaccines that require ultra-cold conditions for distribution.

“There is a huge experience behind this technology,” Yildirim says. “Some people may find this appealing, and we may have more people getting vaccinated. The subunits included in the vaccine are necessary to elicit a protective immune response, but they are not live, or they are not whole viruses and cannot cause disease in the vaccine recipient.”
https://www.verywellhealth.com/novav...ffects-5192068

It is still the spike protein:
Interesting read. In regards to Novavax and circulating spike: It might be worth mentioning that Novavax injects a known quantity of the protein. This, in comparison, to the alternative genetic vaccines where the manufacturers have not been asked to determine the amount of spike produced. In all likelihood we don’t know because we don’t yet know how long the lipid nano particles and mRNA remain in circulation in your body. The other point worth considering is there did not seem to be significant safety signals in the genetic vaccine trials either, yet as we have deployed them globally we are clearly starting to see more safety signals arise.
But maybe a smaller amount.

This quote is comparing circulating spike protein for one of the mrna vaccinations vs. infection:
That leads us to another interesting question: what are the levels of that S1 protein seen after vaccination as compared to a real infection? This same team of authors has used the same assay technology to study infected patients, which makes comparison very clear-cut. The levels of circulating S1 protein are in fact quite similar, and the profile of decreasing S1 over the course of infection (as the antibody response kicks in) is seen in the same manner.
It is quite possible that the people suffering the worst effects from the vaccine are some of the people who would have been most damaged by the virus itself.

ETA: Or alternately their bodies produce more of the spike protein in response to the mrna which might make sense of younger people getting more severe post vaccine reactions.

Someone posted up a chart here yesterday and I think it was clotting; older people had lower incidence, middle aged might have been worst on that one?

Random ETA: I wonder if delaying the time between doses would reduce the incidence of things like heart inflammation? Would it be better if the body had more time to clear the first vax/recover?
