Should I start Raheem Mostert @ DET over Josh Jacobs with Jacobs facing the Ravens D?

Last draft, entered as a last minute sub for a league a friend was running, and just YOLO drafted. I like it, though. Yahoo gave me a D, last in the league. That actually makes me feel even better about it. Their analysis always sucks. I did zero QB drafting, so I need to figure that out or have Lance take over early in the season. I had to choose from Burrow, Mayfield, or Wentz for a QB late. 12 team, 1/2 PPR.

QB: Burrow, Lance
RB: Kamara, Mixon, Sanders, Lindsay, Gainwell
WR: Julio, AB, Boyd, Devonta, Mooney
TE: Kittle, Ertz
Def: Pitt
K: Someone

Ekeler already dealing with a hammy DNP yesterday. I had him as a target in every draft and missed out on him. Wasn't his hamstring what kept him out the majority of last season?

I only did my friends/family league this year. Skipped on misc leagues because I just don't have the desire to follow like I used to. Did about 10 minutes of research prior to this draft. I took a strategy and filled out my starters with best player available at the time instead of loading up on 5 RBS and 3 WRS then finding scraps for QB/TE.

1.0 PPR

QB: Brady, and took Trevor L. incase he blows up his rookie year.
RB: Kamara, J. Robinson, Hunt, Gordon III, A.J. Dillion, M. Carter
WR: Diggs, Hopkins, M. Thomas, Devonta Smith, M. Pittman
TE: Andrews
K: Yoo
D/ST: Indy, but will stream

IMO in week 1 I'm starting the better player instead of matchups. No idea how good a defense will or will not be this early in the year.

agreed too early for matchups.

although i'd lean mostert anyway, at the moment. he's healthy, it's a game they'll probably have a lead in. you could argue he's the more explosive, intriguing player of the two. so i guess….i would play the matchup. lol.

Yeah, I think the main reason Jacobs is ranked higher for season-long is Mostert's injury history, but if he's healthy, I'd play him over Jacobs.

Yeah, Like every pick I had this year was the back half of the draft. So naturally I was targeting Ekeler as my guy, but in every draft someone fell or he was taken. Now with a hamstring injury that he had last year, I'm kind of glad I didn't get him. Hamstring injuries can linger for a while and are easily aggravated.

I'd agree here. Like Mostert especially early in the season over Jacobs and in this matchup.

It would be awesome if you guys could check out my website for a game I created to play along with the NFL season. You pick 6 teams each week you think will win their NFL games, but you can only pick 6 teams, trying to maximize your points – each team has a specific point value for a win. The person with the most points takes the payout.

Feel free to create public or private leagues, or join already created leagues. You can play by the week, all season long, or both - just choose which kind of leagues you want to join/create. At this point I’m looking to spread the word and get as many people playing as possible and I would appreciate your help with that and giving me any feedback you have. The site explains everything once you log in and check out the info area, but feel free to reach out to me with any questions or if you need anything related to the game. Thanks!

Those players you mentioned are very valuable in the fantasies? (Except of CMC, i know he is )

Is Ty'Son Williams really going to take over the #1 spot? I just grabbed Williams, low risk high reward. I'm guessing Le/Veon Bell won't be on the practice squad for long.

well as we speak he's the only guy they have that is familiar with the plan. bell probably comes up as the #2 and we go from there. i'm sure they sign somebody else. lat murray, maybe gurley? or an easy trade for david johnson.

however, injuries create opportunity. this kid ty'son has his moment. week 1 he's definitely "the" guy and if he plays well maybe it's the ty'son williams show from here on.

I'm already starting James Robison, Antonio Gibson and Clyde Edwards. Hopefully Williams kills it and becomes the Ravens true #1rb. If so, thats a huge pick up.

Last draft of the year - 12 team, 1ppr, 1QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/3Flex auction

QB: Burrow
RB: Gibson, Carson
WR: Amari, Julio
TE: Waller
Flex: Lockett, Robby, Boyd

Bench:
Fields
Coleman
David Johnson
Mark Ingram
Marvin Jones
Ja'Marr Chase

IR:
Cohen
D. Evans

Looks ugly which is why I usually avoid these weird roster leagues but I think it should be good as long as Gibson or Carson can stay healthy.

i have 2 shares on Dak and am very happy with what we saw last night.

'boys look the same to me as LY - can't stop anybody, throw the ball all over the yard. dak started a little shaky in terms of spiral and arm strength but seemed to get better throughout. he's clearly a field general and the engine of the offense. the shoulder couldn't have bothered him much because his accuracy was on point, even on the pick (that was right to CD's hands). perhaps he just had some rust early but it didn't cost him any.

fantasy-wise dallas looks like a gold mine again, at least through the air.
