Turned 38 recently. I'm divorced. Just got out of a year and a half relationship. Ideally I'd like to settle down, but I got burned pretty hard on divorce with my custody.

On top of that, the idea of me getting near my prime years and being basically objectively attractive to ALL women (which could only apply to around 5% of men) and for whatever reason signing a paper where i basically promise to only be with one person that is losing value by the day and one day wont even be able to give me more kids, and if i break said promise im losing half of my money plus house plus time with kids etc.. now that seems ridiculous as fuk to me.

Now i get the idea of marriage helps a society advance and progress, that is common sense, but its hard to marry when things are the way they are right now. Makes absolutely no sense in no way, only reason left now is just the good ole "its just what you gotta do bro you gotta get married" argument. 1st bold: oh damn. i thought that was going smooth. i know it was a thread you made about that but i havent peeped it in a cool minute

2nd bold: I'd argue social media possibly blackpilled them? at least those who made it that far to where they have a following on social media, to where they see men as just sources for attention and payment.

3rd old: Not just you, but her. She can cheat on you with another man and decide that she wants a divorce, and you're losing 50% of chit that you've made BEFORE you met her.(thus the 80% initiated by bitches, we know this tho)

Marriage is such trash, even the celebrities with millions of dollars, can't even hold they weight up with it. LTR without shacking up may be the new marriage(inb4 miscers of old talk about their unicorn marriage)

and If a Unicorn has social media, it's not a unicorn.

This is the problem I'm having. To me I have no issue with a monogamous relationship. However, in order to have one, you need a woman to willingly accept and perform feminine duties. That includes being a mother and wife. The issue is most females are like children even in older age. They were convinced they should spend their youthful baby making years slooting around, traveling, and focusing on useless careers while being in debt.

The conversations I have with sloots daily are fukking brutal on these dating apps. They're all the same. Or the women I find in real life that fit the bill closer to what you would want as a wife are just not attractive at all to me.

I will not wife a sloot. Buddies of mine already have and already have gotten divorces. Marriage has been corrupted by the courts and by our current culture, but it can still be beneficial if you find the right person. However, culture has warped the minds of young women to an extent I can't even believe. Even all these "christian conservative" females are single moms and psychopaths while larping to be these tradwife females.

It's absolutely brutal out there right now.

Terrible social circle/social life in general. Literally just do not meet girls (at least this is my theory).

I’m not Chad enough to cold approach. I do think there’s plenty of cute girls that find me attractive but timing is everything unless you’re a legit Chad. As a 7/10 male there usually has to be some social connection to make them feel comfortable and the right timing where they’re feeling it.

I’m always stuck in the continuous cycle of “should I settle down with current GF whose solid or roll the dice and try to find someone better” I usually choose the latter. But I do have one past gf I prob should’ve settled down with. Now she’s married with 2 kids and still looks hot. That’s life though. I just gotta keep grinding and stacking my money

Are you on the spectrum? I'm tall and decent looking but can't meet anyone or develop a social circle because i have autism. I can be decent socially but i have to meet the right people first. Which i never do. I just struggle hard in social settings unless they are the right people

And i don't like social events. Would rather just talk to a few people i really know and nothing more.

I don’t have autism. In fact I’m surprisingly well spoken and put together. I’m not tall which is points against, but not super short either.

I am on the introverted side which hurts. I don’t stand out enough for one night stand type interactions (e.g. not Chad enough to stand out; not extroverted enough to stand out). I legit need repeated connection to be successful which doesn’t happen much any more with my social circle basically gone.

I did the best in school for obvious reasons. You get in a class with a girl and see her multiple times a week. I should have capitalized in college tbh but I transferred a bunch and had to start over every time I did. Before I knew it college was over and my friends were never Chads themselves so cute girls in our social circle were few and far between from there on out.

And now here we are. Every once in awhile I find a girl I really connect well with and she’s always in a relationship so it’s too late.

Pretty sure my tour is over. Even if I did stumble on good fortune I question if I have the dating skills to actually make it last. Feel like I’m seriously lacking in the LTR experience department.

Even homely women are damaged bro. They think you going to cheat on them the moment you leave the house in the morning for work, or go at night to play sports with your bros.

Anxiety, insecurity, frustration, jealously. Everyone is poisoned nowadays, or more like everyone is “redpilled”, as in deep inside we all know that “it’s not yours it’s just your turn”. You can have a happy relationship with that thought in the back of your mind but it’s a thought based on reality. It’s a catch 22 to be redpilled.

Modern women are redpilled btw, they just don’t know the word for it.
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

It’s all backwards nowdays anyways. Back in the 50s and 60s movies you would always see the women pursuing the man trying to get him in a relationship with her and the guy being like “awww Christ.” My dad claims my mom and all her friends chased him the entire time in FL on vacation and wouldn’t leave him alone. Nowadays men are pathetic betas on dating apps announcing their need for a woman or gf saying “please pick me.” Women get an unrealistic power trip out of it of a potential husband, vs a dude that just wants to get laid or turns out to be a total ******* after 2-3 months.

Long term relationships would have a much better shot if there was no social media where women could see 100s of your potential replacements within 5 minutes, no liberal media to brainwash them, no pathetic betas participating in this online dating crap, and if these women came from a traditional conservatove household with a masculine father and feminine nurturing mother. Too many had either absent fathers, abusive fathers towards their moms (or vica versa), or just a pushover weak father where they learn to just disrespect and walk all over men without a guilty conscience in the world about their actions outside of how it might impact them.

Women initiate like 80% of divorces and end most relationships bc they either think they can do better, didn’t get committment when they wanted it, or they’re just damaged and dysfunctional and screw things up bc of their upbringing.

Most of us from good families will have a hard time finding a hot and cool chick who will replicate that with the same motherly and husband dedication like their vows said.

If I find somebody then great. If not, I’m happy being alone. A wife or gf will be a great compliment to my life that I’m proud to be with instead of it defining where I’m at vs the rest of society. Better to be with who you’re really meant to be with vs being married or committed to the wrong person so you can say you are and feel normal.

Dear diary...
You need to accept the fact that no friends will love you like your parents do. And be ok with that. Meet different people who each fill different parts of your void. Don't expect any one person to do that or you'll always be disappointed and alone.

Yeah same with me i don't have anyone i repeatedly see enough to make any social gains. The problem is after 30 everyone is already established and if you don't work with someone you connect with or see them regularly through meetings or some chit then there's no way to make any other connections. You have to be extroverted and low inhibition to pull that off. Looks barely even matter. I see average and obese dudes being social af, most of them are older than us but still i wish i was like that so i could be better at socializing.

Do I feel pressure? Yeah a lot. Not desperate enough to ever settle so starting to realize I'm likely going to be alone which does not sound fun imo. Unfortunately this isn't something to try and force though. It'll either happen or it won't, but yeah the pressure has mounted that the window for it happening is nearly entirely closed. Literally need to find someone within the next 2-3 years to start the relationship before I'm just flat out too old for anyone that isn't too old themselves.
damn wtf...

i hope you find someone SoutheastBeast1
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that being shredded was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down shredded. They told me I didnt understand the assignment, and I told them they didnt understand life.

I'm 32, been single my whole life because girls don't like me and don't want anything to do with me. Literally every single girl I've ever been interested in has never wanted anything to do with me, didn't want to date, didn't want to be friends, didn't want to talk or hang out, nothing. I don't feel any pressure because there's not a damn thing I can do about it.

There's someone out there for you bro. 3 minutes left before misc goes dark. Never forget we're all gonna make it

if you want advice, get some good pics for your tinder and fake confidence with texting, ie be assertive and flirty (probably a lot much aggressively than you're doing if you're an introvert) and you'll pull

not even kidding

women are sloots on dating apps, you have a lot going for you. Leverage it brah

I'll be 30 in a couple months.

I'm single because I've been scorned by a long relationship in the not-too-distant past, and at this point, I just don't want to put in all the effort to try to find a new long-term GF or potential wife. I'll stick to flings and easy stuff for now. Especially because I'm trying to build my business further and women have a tendency to suck the time, energy (and money) out of a man.

I think I want a child/children in the future, but I really don't know if I'll find anyone suitable to reproduce with.

Great replies ITT. To the 20-something guys, this applies to you too because time flies fast! I appreciate everyone who’s contributed. Crazy to think women initiate most of the divorces. I initiated mine and never looked back.

I’ve been on dating apps and I do get matches and likes, however I’ve been realizing that I do get an ego boost from the likes (same with women), and even though I like the conversations and meet-ups, I eventually get bored. Like someone said, I love the chasing stage, but once the talk of relationships begin, I subconsciously back off. I will stay single until I find someone really good. I do love being single, and I do get scared of giving that up. But I do miss the companionship sometimes. Really considering just staying single until I’m 45.

I do see married friends who are miserable, even if they don’t say it. You can tell by their actions and things they say.we are rare commodities, men…especially if we are in shape and make decent money.

Better to be with who you’re really meant to be with vs being married or committed to the wrong person so you can say you are and feel normal.
yup my therapist is old and fat and keeps telling me this is how it is. Women chase men. Doesn't happen these days buddy.

I'm almost 42 and divorced after being together 17 years. It's only been 8 months so I'm still trying to figure out my new routines. I make good money and a nice house and cars so I can take advantage of the freedom.

The only that makes me sad is not having my kids that much (3 and 6).

Otherwise have a fwb and still get laid although I'm going to breaks things off because she already said she loves me after only two months. Just too many red flags.

In the future I plan on never getting arrived again but would be in a relationship again.

I was single until 32 then met a great girl that I've been with for three years. The right relationship can be great. Being single can be great. The important thing to remember is as a man you live the life you want to live. And the woman understands and accepts that. I've been extremely clear with my girl about the following:

-If she gets fat the relationship is over.
-If she nags me/yells at me the relationship is over.
-Going 'out' with the girls is a no-go.
-I'm going to live life on my terms, the way I want. And if she wants. She can tag along for the ride.
-I'll never ask permission or forgiveness for anything I do.

I will never compromise any of the above. Depending on where you're at in life/who you are as a man. You kind of gain/lose negotiating power. I firmly believe if you set yourself/ your life up right you can be in full control of your relationship.

Don't want kids. Don't need female companion to cope life.
You are your thoughts. Life is perception, thoughts are perception, perception is reality ergo thoughts are reality, I think therefore I am.
