Nice work. Right about the time to reverse direction and rinse and repeat.

Dont forget that on a frame your size, probably around 6-8lbs of that will be water/glycogen shift. You will drop that in your first 14 days of a cut (assuming you are cutting cals from carbs)

Great job and you have figured out what most never do. You have to eat for your goals. Outside the newb gains and first year of training, you have to get the cals in. It is by far the hardest part of anything I have done in my fitness journey. Years of sitting at the dinner table trying to get last bits in. My wife hated watching me eat a surplus.

Many people dont understand because they dont eat structured. Eating even a small 250cal surplus per day is as hard as 1000. (when you do it every day). Getting in the cals day in and day out is a true grind. But it pays off!

I sometimes wish I had this problem. I'm the opposite. I have to structure my meals so that I don't go overboard with daily surplus. If left unchecked I would easily 500-1k+ calories over my daily TDEE every single day. Even when bulking I still have to keep a (looser) eye on my daily intake so that it doesn't get away from me.

Your post in this thread is a perfect example of pathetic people do. If you did not notice, this thread is about training. And not just my training, but anyone who wants to share. Training is something I dont believe you know much about. You are in a very small group of people that like to attack others. No place for that here. If you want to be constructive, and share some lifting pics and or support others, than stay. If not GTFO.

Funny, I have heard this of others as well. I am a person if left unchecked I would slowly gain as my appetite is unending. But eating structured surpluses were always so hard for me.

One thing that HAS controlled my appetite is fasting. I dont know where you feel you are at goal wise, but once you plateau in mass and strength, I think fasting is a great way to live. I resisted for many years thinking I would loose all the gainz. But that has not proven to be the case.

But if there is still progress on the table, I dont recommend it. FOOD is the most powerful tool we have at our disposal. FOOD is even more powerful than any AAS. People dont get it. Eating for your goals will be the difference between the guy who looks the same years on end, and the guy who continues to make progress long after the newb gains are gone.

I am opposite now. I chronically under eat. I need daily structure to prep and feed myself if I want to add cals. Now that I work from home I can't get any structure or motivation.

Leg night quick snap from tonight. Lost quite a bit of size over last 4 years since I cant train heavy any longer. But can definitely tell I at least train them.

Legs I have found are one of those things that once you drop the skinfolds, you just get leaner and leaner over time (even when bulking back up ) because the sub-q never has time to build back up.

Lets see some others post up!

Remembered to get a post gym pic today. Currently 190 @ 6'0", shooting to drop to around 180 in the next 8-10 weeks. And yeah, before anyone says it, I'm well aware my skin is trash, teenage acne never went away even at 35 yrs old. Sucks but I've long since accepted that's just how it is so I focus my energies on the things I can change.

OK new week! Post up some pics from the gym (those that workout).

I do my national bench monday (even though I workout at home). Just hard habits to break.

Because my schedule is so jacked up, I am having to condense my routine to 3 days a week. Right now it is Push/Pull, Legs, Shoulders/arms

You didn't even look bad at all in your "before" pic from ten years ago. You actually look jacked compared to the average person.

3day workouts were my most effective that I ever did. I did a rotating upper/lower split a/b plan. That was when there was still progress to be made. I workout 4 days because I enjoy it better and I dont get any exercise outside the gym. Only problem with 3day is you have to work at higher RPE to take advantage of additional recovery. But it can indeed work. I am too lazy these days

I dont do cardio on cuts. I just cut cals. Cardio drives up my appetie and make me crave LARGE amounts of carbs. But it can work especially when you are trying to get those last bits of stubborn fat to go and you have dipped well below 10%. But above 10% I would just cut cals. But that is just me.

Genetics are a blessing. My first workout back after a decade off, I could still bench 300 lbs and I squatted 405 my first leg workout (for the hell of it). Dumb thing to do since I pulled my piriformis doing it. But muscle memory is VERY real.

I prefer 4 days a week as well, but with after school kid activities, work travel, etc, I keep getting hijacked. Would be different if I had a home gym like you.

FANTASTIC. Great vascularity also!

Me I took some different pics.

Nothing better than a barefoot workout! Chest and tris today. Love these Nuobell dumbbells!
Looking at one of my bars I think of the amount of times I have loaded and unloaded it. This is a bar I bought in my 20's so it has been with me a long time!
And one 'relaxed' shot. (no flexing)

Yes, I need to shave. Only a few days from my 'homeless' look
