On the one hand, I sort of agree with OP. 20 yrs ago it would have been an unremarkable movie for many of the reasons your mention. Entertaining but forgettable and cringey. But in 2022 they don’t even make entertaining movies anymore, so ppl think this is the greatest movie ever.

On the other hand, I know that OP’s favorite movie is cuties and his 10/10 movie is a child eating out a tranny’s man puzzy.

Yeah movies have been crap since Gladiator in 2000, so this movie felt amazing in a theatre. I hadn’t been in a movie theater since 2013. Plus it was better than the original.

It’s a big, dumb, summer blockbuster. If you’re going in expecting a complex plot and witty dialogue, you’re obviously going to be disappointed.

If you’re in the mood for for a good old fashion fun, energetic movie loaded with some cool stunts and visuals, I think you’ll find that it checks the box.

It's just as bad as any other contemporary blockbuster movie srs. It sucked just as much as marvel/disney/fast and furious crap.

The northman moggs it to oblivion and im not even a huge nordic history fan.

the real life action scenes bump it up to at least a 5-6/10

but I agree apart from that it had a paper thin story and dialogue (like 90% of movies coming out nowadays)

it was watchable srs (but barely)
