So who carries one in the chamber in your EDC?

Always one in the chamber, if you are scared to have one in the pipe don’t carry and get some training until you’re comfortable handling loaded firearms in a safe manner.

The correct answer is yes

I never carry chambered. with kids around, its just an unessary risk.
carry with out one in the chamber, or heck, even sometimes without a mag in the gun. if you carry an unloaded gun, chances are 99.9999% you'll be able to get out of any situation by just presenting the firearm. that is all u need.
people that carry a loaded gun are 100% not ready for the consequences of using that firearm. we are talking about a human life here. much better to disengage, retreat, and draw an unloaded gun as a last case scenario.

Have you educated your kids about firearm safety? I could see why you wouldn't carry 1 in the chamber because of that.
Honestly learning your environment and reading peoples body language can do wonders for safety. on the flip side if you are ambushed one in the chamber can get you out of a sticky situation real quick.
I grew up in Chicago so i'm kind of desensitized to violence, taking a life as self defense probably wouldn't phase me too much, although i have never been in a shootout before it might just affect me the same.

The pin that holds the battery door to the body got worked out under recoil. Went missing somewhere.
I guess now there is no contact between the batteries and terminals? Light did not work at all. Oh well, ill hit up surefire.

With empty chamber AND manual safety on, you are in a much better position if someone grabs your gun out of your holster, especially a child. Much more time to get your gun back while they figure out why it won't shoot. Of course, this does not affect YOU drawing and shooting rapidly because you have (or should) trained to rack slide and disengage safety after draw.
