Supply is fine. Demand for houses (really land) is extremely high due to Fed sponsored TINA, and that's where families are getting squeezed out by investors either leaving properties vacant or as rentals.

Not a single drop of Keystone oil was going to be sold in the US.

Even if you want to say it would go abroad, increase world supply, and decrease world price, it would have increased world supply by under 1%

So Keystone at most has a fraction-of-a-percent impact on inflation. The other 8% (really 20%) are coming from Congress and the Federal Reserve. Don't take your eye off the ball, guys.

Tuned into Brandon’s speech. I lasted for 10 seconds of watching it. Economy awesome, gas is down, blah, blah, blah. It’s scary how many people actually think this guy is doing a good job.

It would have been EXACTLY the same situation with Trump. Both parties to inject epic amounts of money into the economy. The natural results were going to follow no matter who was in office.
There were three rounds of literal money printing. Like literal "hand people cash". The first was fine. The other two were really bad ideas.

2. The stock market falling off a cliff is intentional and it is very healthy. By 2021, stocks were the second most overvalued they had been in American history. #1 was 1999, #2 was 2021, #3 was 1929, and no other time is even close. The American economy has been chitty for 20 years, and stocks had been taken to la la land through no kind of healthy growth but through rampant money printing. Aka stealing money from your children to put in your portfolio. And we had done so much of that we had built the second biggest stock bubble ever.

Do you really WANT a market that unhealthy to keep going up? "Oh yeah baby, build that bubble higher. Let's inject more public debt into the market. Push inflation higher, oh yeah." Inflation NEEDED to stop, the deficit spending NEEDED to stop, and as a result, the market NEEDED to come down. I am far more scared of a stock market that keeps going up past Black Tuesday 1929 valuations than one that declines from them.
Probably best post in here.

Only problem is if we’re at a point the can can’t be kicked anymore, we get worse than 1929. Because with how overleveraged with make believe money Wall Street is from m0 money supply, I can see the whole thing just breaking.

It's under 30,000 not 29,000. Thinking about jumping into stocks but everything still overpriced IMO. Waiting for market to drop to 20,000 or less before jumping in.

Biden and the Democrats have hurt the economy with their big spending, big money printing and their war on fossil fuels. Hope in the coming election the GOP wins the House and Senate so a check and balance can be had on Biden's lousy policies.

Will take your word for it. Certainly have no expertise on specific US military installation/transport.

Yep, you describe many rentcels to a T. That is why PSA threads are so important.

Rents here going up month to month breaking previous all time highs (NYC). Imagine paying 7000 a month in rent and getting told to get out unless you pay 8200 - you leave and it is rented again instantly.

But yeah, supply is perfect huh and landlordshave no leverage...some might say.

I can't see it as a dip looking at the bigger picture. Remember that 2008 was an insane bubble that never fully corrected because it was followed by 10 years of zero interest rates and massive quantitative easing which inflated asset prices all while the US economy spluttered. Then in 2020 the quantitative easing truly left humanity behind, and inflated asset prices even more all while supply chains were destroyed, people stopped working and international relations fell apart.

This bubble is 100% a function of ZIRP and QE and will only be sustained if the US Fed can keep the QE up and the interest rates down, and the moment they stop it will go to it's "real" level.
