Because FX kept crashing
Bonds were crashing
And boj is desperately trying to stabilize the yen

Bottom just needs to come quick if it’s drawn out then we’re really ****ed.

Been watching this chit for last 3 hours waiting for it to actually bottom so we can be in the clear. But the sell off indicators are goin pretty hard. If people can’t, we have a bigger problem.

The preacher man says it's the end of time
And the Mississippi River, she's a-goin' dry
The interest is up and the stock market's down
And you only get mugged if you go downtown

I live back in the woods you see
My woman and the kids and the dogs and me
I got a shotgun, a rifle and a four-wheel drive
And a country boy can survive

Great song.Recently been checking out stuff about Appalachia.

IDK if this is IT, but it's possible. Warning that the lockup of the financial system *could* be starting now vs. holding off for an undetermined period.

Any reason not to have your money in iBonds nowadays? Especially taking advantage of the 9.62% rate that will probably lower in October.

You can only buy 10k worth, but they've done pretty well.

Yeah was DCAing back into the stock market recently but it doesn't seem like it's going to improve anytime soon so might as well put some money into bonds.

Not sure about maxing the 10k and locking that up for a year since I might want to buy some property but sounds like the smart route to go.

I always prefer the S&P 500 as a better indicator as it has more data points.

It is now completely underwater from the moment Biden stepped into office.

How much will Biden save us for Thanksgiving this year?

Ready to pounce on those savings!

Might be the smart move going forward. I’m not sure what the interest penalty is for early withdrawal (3 months interest, I think, but correct me).

Real estate cap rate is I think around 4.5-5%, so it would make sense to take a risk free investment at 9.62% and do nothing rather than actively manage a portfolio.

If you're under 40, this is like buying everything for a massive discount.
Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.
