Stay safe Tampa. If the storm goes there hope the damage isn't horrible.
I'm in the Fort Myers area and we're in the hurricane cone of concern. Hoping the storm doesn't wobble and come here instead.

for the record, its really not about how hard the initial impact is. you have to consider teh 2 weeks after. potential for no water, no power, no AC, no cell service, no TV, no food if you dont prepare. roads could be closed for a week before you can get out. no clean clothes. im sure you will ride out the storm itself, can you ride out the disaster area after the fact with no support?

There's so much room for this thing to completely shift
It does suck sitting through a hurricane. We have a lot of trees around our home, so I worry about a bit. Personally I am hoping for a shift to make landfall further south of Tampa. I live near Gainesville, so the storm would hopefully pass to the East of us and we would only endure the Westside of the storm which is more ideal. Either way, there's nothing that we can do other than ride it out.

And I hate to bring it up, but almost guaranteed after the fact looters will break into stores for things like food and other items they can easily grab and sell.
We had a sudden tornado in my city in the spring and it knocked out power for days. Thankfully some areas still had it on the other side of the city but it seriously sucked and that wasn't even close to what you guys are likely to experience. I now have a generator and a lot of spare power sources, plus a spare propane tank to be able to cook for at least a week. And a water purifying system just in case.

Can someone get on the horn and call up project stormfury to redirect this chit to New Orleans? It's been almost 20 years since mother nature sterilized that wound. It time again, LMFAO.

All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

the only natural disaster tracker that I follow and is the most important is the Waffle House Index....just LOL if your a noob and dont follow it
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waffle_House_Index
GREEN: full menu – Restaurant has power and damage is limited or no damage at all.
YELLOW: limited menu – No power or only power from a generator, or food supplies may be low.
RED: the restaurant is closed – Indicates severe damage or severe flooding.....or forced evacuation

Judgement from God for letting all these New Yorkers into this great state.
Yes I'm from NY but I've been here for 20 years.
Pepper thy agnus.

Pepper thy agnus.
Isaiah 45:22-23. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
