It's a totally understandable reaction for a True Prophet to get.

"you say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard" (Luke 7:34)

"Aren't we right in saying that you are a Samaritan and demon-possessed?" (John 8:48)

"some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, for He does not keep the Sabbath” (John 9:16)

"and said, “Give glory to God! We know that this man is a sinner.” (John 9:24)

"Many of them said, "He is demon-possessed and raving mad. Why listen to him?" (John 10:20)

take note from your Christian brother above he gave you some solid advice there
