my younger brother is 23 and does nothing but live at home with parents and work dead end jobs in the chitty little hometown. Seems to have no real plan to get a career. Feel bad but would not take my advice I gave him years ago so what can I do? It is what it is

1990 in-state tuition to the University of Arizona was $990/semester. Min wage was around $4.25/hr. I could work full time in the summer, part-time during school year, and pay-out-of pocket and get a degree. I can get financial aid and grants, and it'll just be gravy.

Bought my first home making $14/hr. wage slaving in the late 90's.

No dating apps, slayed on the reg.

Times were easy back then.

43, love my job, and don't write parking tickets, because I'm too busy with joggers shooting themselves on an hourly basis.

Anyways, you Zoomers are beyond pathetic, can't even enjoy a concert without your cellphone, you all have this skinny fat look, with horrible posture, and you can't lift for **** at the gym. Doing things like 15lb dumbells on the incline bench, with your legs spazing out all over the place.

Mommy has to pay all your bills, and you have zero life skills.

And just like the post above me said, you legit need a dual income to survive. Or you have to live very minimally in a low cost of living area. Working hard doesn't seem worthwhile if the environment around you just keeps inflating in cost.

And we haven't even got to the dating world yet. Divorce rates, dating apps, yikes.
