what else are they supposed to do? drop to their knees and service their bosses like the last generations? Those generations were able to buy homes, start families, take vacations all with a junior salary. Thats no longer the case anymore. Most of these wages aren't keeping up unless you go into tech, which is now super saturated btw.

I'm not advocating that Gen Z is some almighty generation, but you have to look at things practically here. Going to school to get a bachelors degree is now the minimum, before it was considered extra.
And just like the post above me said, you legit need a dual income to survive. Or you have to live very minimally in a low cost of living area. Working hard doesn't seem worthwhile if the environment around you just keeps inflating in cost.
And we haven't even got to the dating world yet. Divorce rates, dating apps, yikes.

From age 20 to 24 i went complete and total rot mode. I don't regret it for a second.
