You got the huge balls taking JT in the first…. didn't want to take advantage of the discount?

Other than that, solid draft.

Edit: I'm a clown, never done auction before.

100% agreed.

Not a main league. Using $20 public leagues on yahoo as mock drafts basically. Learned a ton from that one.

It's an auction. Thats a late 2nd round price.

Would you guys keep Mattison in the 11th or Pacheco in the 13th?

Standard PPR, QB/2RB/3WR/TE/FLX/D/K, 12 team league.

I'm leaning more toward Mattison being the workhorse with Pacheco being a committee. So I'm leaning Mattison, what do you guys think?

There's not much difference there to me. Mattison is a little better, but Pacheco is a 2 round discount. Take your pick. I think I'd keep Mattison for the same reason as you, but there are definitely questions about whether he can be a workhorse for a full season or not since he's never done it in the NFL (looked great for the 5 games he's started in his career, but that's a small sample). Pacheco is a confirmed committee, but one in an offense that will score a bazillion points.

I love Addison long term. For this year, rookies can be volatile, but I will look for him as a high ceiling backup after I have my starters drafted if he's still on the board.

Mattison for sure. There's not much difference between an 11th and 13th pick and Mattison has a much higher ceiling assuming they don't sign anyone else.

Pacheco doesn’t catch passes as far as I remember. Easy choice for me

Valid durability concerns so I'd have to pick up that rookie behind Mattison at some point (maybe keep him next year).

This was my thought.

Also a good point, if they're throwing its probably going to McKinnon.

Fantasy draft is later today and I'm torn on my keeper in a PPR league. I traded for Henry with the intention of keeping him last season but I really want to keep Tyreek. Guy is just so explosive but Henry has such a high floor that he's probably the safer bet.

For once my team was stacked last year. I've had to keep Aaron Jones every year which was just maddening with his usage. I had Tyreek, Henry, Breece Hall, and Jones. Should've ran away with the title if it wasn't for injuries and Henry being sat in the last week.

edit: thinking about it I think I'm going Hill. Henry's line is garbage so that'll be a problem.

Yeah you're right. I just realized that Henry could have a rough year with that O line. I'm hoping another RB will be available for me to draft. I get burned every year with Jones being my top guy.

I'm All over Jahmyr Gibbs Top 5 RB this year. Lions lead points for RB last year 3-4 pick on a high run offense. + Alabama player gotta snag him at the 3rd-4th round. Next years Gibbs will be a 1st round pick.

Bijan will be fine behind CMC Ekeler-

Nfl teams that draft a top prospect RB that early in the draft will build the offense around that player.

i'm in on Jordan Addison.

1. Thielen is gone. quality targets available including red zone targets. Thielen was an oddly strong TD guy (30 in last 3 years).
2. Cousins is a damn good QB regardless of the narratives colin cowherd will tell you
3. He's playing opposite God and teams will be focused on that guy, so there will be plenty of one-on-one opportunity.

Zay is basically WR3 on the ravens and if you think Lamar will suddenly become this high volume passer, bless you. i am skeptical.

I think Zay will be the #1 WR by the end of the year. He's way better than any of the other WRs there. Regardless, they're not going to just stop using guys like Odell and Andrews will be the #1 target. I know they have a new OC, but I can't see Lamar throwing 600 times with any OC, so it's going to be hard to trust any Ravens pass catchers except Andrews. Zay will be a fantasy starter in a year or two, though.

I had pick 4 in a standard league. I've had success before with going hard at RB early. CMC and Eckler went before me, so I went Bijan - something I didn't plan for. Was leaning toward Chubb but was concerned about age. Weak at WR but have a few options to make up for it, is a 10 man league and I ignored picking up a TE til super late. Teams ok but nothing to get excited about. Spamming trades to try and trade depth for more top end talent but trades rarely happen in this league.

It's a fine draft. WR is really the only concern imo.

As a backup TE, you should pick up Kincaid instead of Knox for the upside. Yes, Kincaid is likely to be more volatile and may amount to nothing (at least this year), but if he hits as a rookie, he's a potential league winner. He was a major part o the passing attack with the 1's this week (with Knox injured, though). Knox doesn't have that upside.

Are we for the round 6-7 Hype on Waller being the WR1/TE for the giants and Danny dimes? Seems like pretty good value if you don't get kelce/Andrews

Ya I think he's worth the risk around there. I could see him even outscoring Andrews in games that he's healthy.

First real draft of the season last night. 12 team ppr default rosters.

Wanted Herbert but Burrow owner was price enforcing so I just let him go for $18 since I hate that chit lol.

Dobbins seems to be undervalued this year. That offense is going to be great and he knows this year is very important for his future so there should be no risk of him milking an injury late in the year.

I love Gabe Davis as a post-hype value pick late/cheap this year. He was hyped through the roof last year, but then disappointed his owners who were expecting to ride him to the championship after he played through the season with a high ankle sprain. This year, he's priced too low instead of too high. He's still the same guy in the same offense with the same QB that drove the hype train last year. A "down" year was 850 yds and 7 TDs. If that's his floor and his ceiling is considerably higher (that drove the hype last year), yes please, sign me up.

I hadn't heard anything about this. If I were drafting right now, I'd drop him down to the 3rd if he falls that far. This should be resolved pretty quickly, though.

Plus Josh Allen was playing half the year with that elbow injury which it sounds like is fine going into this season.

Funny thing is I was pretty happy with my WRs at that point and was nominating him since I figured he'd go for at least a few dollars. Could be decent trade bait after a few weeks.

I heard he was unhappy like a couple months ago but there really hasn't been any news about it since. Wouldn't blame someone fading him for Lamb or AJB who are in that same tier without any uncertainty.

I'm on sleeper pretty much exclusively outside of my longest running league on yahoo.

Having that giant chat window with waivers, trading block, trades, etc all displayed is so convenient. Best place to draft too with that color coded draft board.

You guys using the sleeper app?
My draft is tomorrow, its all auction. It will be interesting how much he goes for.

I have JJ but this is the last year I can keep him for free. Thinking about trading him as soon as the draft is over. JJ can't keep that production up. The Vikings has more weapons, looks like they will try to run the ball more, more screens, etc giving they signed TE Josh Oliver to a 3 year deal, dude is a pure stud blocking TE. I think JJ's value is at peak right now.
