What’s something an inmate can do to really piss u Off? Can you just go in and do your time or do you have to gang up and possibly risk your release date because you have to do something for the gang

Do you suspect any of your coworkers of being corrupt like helping bring in contraband etc. ?

Also how often do you get poop or piss thrown at you?

Personally I have very few things to just piss me off, but the biggest: Hanging on doors. Pretty much one guy just goes up to a cell door, he wants to talk or whatever. Nah, that cell is now getting search, the guy on the door is getting searched and a few random ones too since fck it, I'm up so I'm gonna work.

Reason I hate that specifically, other than it's a rules violation (out of bounds) is from when I first started. Guy goes to a door, I'm in the control booth and pop the door thinking he's going home. Nope, he just wanted to talk. I lucked out, but we had a few when someone would pop a door from the control booth and then... oh sht guy is getting stabbed, now I have to answer why I opened that door when I did. Was it an in/out line (inmates can go in or out of their cells while doing this) or recall? Because if not, that inmate can blame me for what happened to him. I know a few who lose money over that, so stay off the doors!

As for gangs, nah, keep to yourself and you'll mostly be left alone.

In order: Not that I am aware of, thankfully, but it's always a surprise when it does happen.

Poop/piss only once luckily; mostly that comes from genuinely crazy inmates, but we aren't a facility that houses them.

Always wanted tattoos, just was smart enough to have a career and good pay first. Otherwise I'd have gotten them when I turned 18.

Not too different from what our old (retired) Warden did, full on email with pictures sayin what a disgrace an officer was for bringing in phones and drugs. He even linked the news article with her being arrested. Good, you should be shamed and made an example of.
