What were they hoping to achieve there? Surely they realized that trying to forcefully enter the Capitol Building was not a good look and could lead to serious jail time? What was that saying? Oh yeah, if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. The justice system is especially vicious when those in power feel that the people are trying to cause an insurrection. In the past, all of them would have been hanged for treason. I'm not defending the ruling, just making an observation. Seemed like really bizarre behavior, though.

Sets people on fire and no jail time because WE BELIEVE HE CAN CHANGE and is part of the reparations. The person tearing down fences, HE'LL NEVER CHANGE and well if you're not Black you deserve no leniency and is part of the reparation punishment. I bet BLM would have assembled if he had been given more than parole.

But the misc told me they were let in by guards and just walking around taking selfies. Is that not the way it actually happened?

Dunno. I heard that a few police officers willingly let them in. Judging by those photos, the MAGA lads must have forced their way in. Not sure what is even going on, tbh. Why anyone would willingly go into a building like that without permission is rather perplexing. It's one thing to burn down a private business, but even entering a government building without authorization is not a good idea. Unless they were actually trying to overthrow the government somehow, lol. Which would most definitely be a very smooth-brained thing to attempt in such a manner.
