What happened to the smartest guy in your grade from high school?

I found HS to be much harder than University. For example.
My "average score" in HS was 17 (which is equivalent to 4.0 GPA btw). It was my worst time as a student.
Check out Einstein grades. And Neil Armstrong grades, for example. Sucked (or at least, not extremely intelligent status). There is no relation between HS grades and IQ.
Not to mention a lot of **** has influence over your grades. Hormones, problems at home, etc...
And no one is getting 4.0 GPA in HS without studying. (well, maybe in America, dunno). American HS Math syllabus seems extremely easy compared to the European syllabuses.

The smartest guy in my school is now working for Amazon as a data scientist.
If success = money, the mid-tier guys are mogging all the top-tier guys from my high school.
Still in touch with a few friends but a lot of people from my group have migrated to US and Canada.
