The point is - we as a society of humans don't sit around thinking about ants all the time. We do have people out here than enjoy learning about biology and as part of that some do a lot of research on ants. Sometimes they might find out something that the world might be interested in reading an article about while scrolling FB.

Perhaps to this alien race (likely exponentially more advanced than us just to get here), they would also have the equivalent of "ant researchers". That would simply be some of them that are interested in learning about organisms such as us. Maybe some prefer observing planets with more or less evolved life. Maybe they even have some version of political stuff going on with alien planets that are also advanced (like Star Wars). Perhaps some of their "researchers" are currently planning another research trip to planets like earth.

You're probably right.

Interesting stuff.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

yeah crazy to think that maybe some alien race(s) knew about us (and perhaps many others throughout the universe) millions of years ago. perhaps they rarely think of us or just come around this way sight seeing once in a while. imagine as part of their history 8.7 million years ago was the day they first learned of beings on other planets.
